Title: What was lacking in BK?
Description: Things you missed the most...

what do you wish was added to bk for a better experience?

I would have chosen both:
1. stage variety (e.g. 100%, cowbear, underwater, etc.)
2. quantity of levels... more stages=more fun?

i chose quantity ultimately

yeah, i would have liked more levels, it was a much quicker game than wlk. i think that i would have liked variety more, though. there were so many that were just make your katamari x size. those are fun, but it seems they saved all of the different ones for dlc, which i didn't think was fair for everyone... planned dlc like that isn't very nice :P

i went with variety but it was a tough choice between that and more levels.

even though some levels were a bit tricky at first the game was ultimately too short, even with the dlc added in.

i missed levels where you had to roll up 100% of items. I don't even thing there were level styles we had never seen before. Fancy's was just like camel and panda, munchies was like sumo, chateau was like that one level in mmk that i can't remember what it was called.

i really hope this game isn't the last in the series cause it wouldn't be a high note to go out on.

Definitely variety. They are the stages that make you want to come back for more!

keep in mind that they went with the score system instead of too much variety.
like there is the ring level, the hot, the cold, the drinks, the memories, the japanese, etc.
perhaps they felt that was sufficient for the main levels, then the dlc added more specific goals...
maybe.

that may be true, but even the dlc levels went by a point system. they could have feasibly added a variety of levels and given them a king-approved score.

i hated the points system, even in mmk. beyond the fact that it never made sense, it took away from just rolling sometimes.

i sort of agree with you there, seeing a 14 or a 58 can leave you wondering what you did wrong, since the king is rarely happy with anything you do. but after playing a good bit of bk, it made me want to get the better scores, i hate having low numbers. of course... my scores weren't awesome, but not terribly pitiful either. they give you something to work for. i'm not sure how forgiving the point system was in mmk either. you didn't have points for all of the levels did you?

all but the 5 levels on the other island have points. i just don't like how they force you to roll up certain style items for points. like seadome, that level irrated me so much.
