I'm starting to wonder how rare 10M/10M is... I've done it three times now and the last two were in a row... I've probably only played the level ten times since I got the game in 2005 because I like the others better am I just insane lucky or is it just not that hard

I think it's easier to judge it in KD than it is in the other games. You didn't have as big an item collection so it was easier to gauge when you are close to 10m, I think.

Sloobro's 'regular tree' strategy works great on the North Star level. Since a regular tree can be rolled up when you are a bit over 9m50cm, you roll up 4 regular trees when you are that diameter and you are perfectly 10m!

Also, the elephant strategy works well too. There are several elephants throughout the stage, and you can roll one of them up when you are around 9m50cm, so if you do, you only have just a little bit to go before you are perfectly 10m.

Also, I think the katamari starts off at around 3m at the beginning of the level. Proof: you can't roll up the huge melons on the island in the middle of the lake and you can't roll up the log fences that surround the lake area. But you CAN roll up vending machines, people, and other medium-sized objects.
