Title: Webkinz?

Have anyone been sucked in yet? My little brother loves them. He'll do his chores to earn money to buy more of them. I even noticed that TY is doing something like that with beanie babies now(since I used to be an avid collector of them).

I've noticed how they're getting popular. But as far as I'm concerned it's another Beanie Babies craze (I still have 2/3 of my original collection... >.>; ) with Neopets codes. I don't see what the key addiction point is...

But oh well.

Both my kids love them -- and every other kid their age. It's tween madness! From a business standpoint, it's insane how much money they've made so quickly. You know you're doing something right when Disney copies you. You can read this article for a good overview of their business model and why kids love them some Webkinz.

to be honest, i know nothing about these webkinz really. i had like 2 beanie babies growing up and i was never into stuffed animals or dolls or anything really.

i did want some beanie babies because everyone else had them, but my parents wouldn't buy them for me, lol.

webkinz are these beanie baby like toys that hace these codes and you put the codes in on a website and you have virtual pets and all that fun stuff. i'll stick to gaia.

i'm pretty sure i wouldn't fit in with the rest of the demographic on their site, though you never know.
