So apparently last week sometime on the TV show Jeopardy! they had a category for video games, and one of the questions (or "answers"--you know how CRAZY they are on that show) required the response, "What is Katamary Damacy?" Did anybody see it or hear about it?
Someone at work told this to me. She heard that I played, and knew that I'd be interested. She said the setup was something like, "This Japanese game requires players to roll around a sticky ball, gathering objects and increasing in size." Something like that. This is all secondhand.
Oh and she said that none of the contestants knew the answer. None of them even tried.
that's too cool! i wonder if it's on video anywhere. though i'm not surprised no one got it since katamari has turned into a cult game. i wonder how trebek pronounced it when no one got the answer.
nice! but i definitely don't watch it enough to actually catch something like that.
I don't have the opportunity to watch it either.
I checked the Jeopardy bulletins/discussion at their website and it may have been on there twice--once back in November, and once last Thursday.
