s0njas0n - January 31, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
i'm sure if i had started watching it from the beginning of the series i would be hooked, but i watched an ep a couple of years ago with my sister and it didn't interest me really at all. all those flashbacks...
waxc3 - January 31, 2008 03:20 PM (GMT)
yea you need to see all of season one to really really get it.
i was lucky and borrowed the box set during a break. my gf and i sat and watched the entire season in a couple days and were hooked, totally psyched for season 2. it kinda went downhill slowly i thought though.
IF you watch tonights episode and like it, you will be hooked and have fun...
MAYBE you will give it a try... Maybe? :) :thumbsup
we can answer any of your questions if you have any ever! :yes
s0njas0n - January 31, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
answer 3 seasons of questions? i haven't been really dedicated to the tv since the winter break. i watch a few shows here and there, but since the new shows have come out this month i haven't watched any new episodes. i don't have the motivation to get into a new series right now. and i enjoy watching a full season at a time. that would be the only way i would watch it.

sure. or point you to the right link online.
the lostwiki has all of the plots from all of the episodes.
i too have not gotten into a new show in a while. i watched the first 2 terminator sarah chron' but dont really care if i miss any.
i might feel that way about lost too.
matthew69 - February 18, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
I did the same thing--borrowed both seasons 1 and 2 and watched them all in about a month's time. I got totally hooked. But these first three episodes have been the most frustrating so far! Too many questions and not enough answers!! :doh
waxc3 - February 19, 2008 11:49 AM (GMT)
i have been happy. we needed some new people on the island.
plus the future "flashbacks" are cool!
like hinting at the oceanic 6.
matthew69 - February 19, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
I guess the season 3 finale was such a cliffhanger, I was really hoping they would answer SOME of the questions everybody had. Instead they haven't answered a one, but only raised MORE questions and made everything seem even MORE convoluted and weird.
On the bright side, they have suggested that they will eventually get around to answering ALL the questions. Even the polar bears and the evil smoke have come up again! :lol
waxc3 - February 19, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
the writers and producers said years ago that by the end of the series it would all come together.
i guess they just invent stuff to keep us busy until then. :)
i love the new time warp thing added last week! when they sent the package through the air and it arrived late! sweeeet!
questions are being answered though... like why the plane wrecked for example.
matthew69 - February 28, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
How about the last word in last week's episode?! I tell you -- these writers know how to complicate things and leave you hanging.
Here's a question....
In the flashforwards we've seen a disheveled, drug-addicted Jack (last season's finale) and a clean-cut Jack (last week's episode). So which do you think came first? Do you think Jack came back and had a year or so (based on Aaron's size) when he was doing okay, THEN freaked out and wanted desperately to return to the island? Or do you think he became suicidal right when they got back, but then cleaned up?
waxc3 - February 28, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
i wondered too but have not really thought on it.
i missed the last word, was doing things as i watched and may have missed it.
matthew69 - February 28, 2008 08:28 PM (GMT)
You missed a jaw-dropper. You know how each episode they've been revealing one more person in the Oceanic Six? Well, the last word was a person's name -- giving us number 5. It turns out that Kate's child is not really her child. Kate took Aaron off the island :eek
Of course there are many unanswered questions: Why? Under what circumstances? Was mom agreeable? Why doesn't Jack want to see Aaron? Etc.
waxc3 - February 29, 2008 11:52 AM (GMT)
i watched the rerun last night to see what you were talking about. yes i had heard her say Aaron but i didnt even give it a second thought. cool!
last night was good. Constant.
very scifi feel to it. my kind of show. just make sure you're at 11 hertz.
i almost cried a lil during the phone call at the end, almost.
matthew69 - February 29, 2008 04:21 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen it yet!! My fiance TiVo'd it, so we'll probably catch it tonight or sometime this weekend.
I HEART Tivo :)

whoops! glad i didnt say too much! lol! oh man.
you read "11 hertz" and were wondering like "what!? what the heck man!?" :lol
neat episode. i liked this one a lot! totally like a science fiction story almost the whole time.
im glad your fiance recorded it for you! you should marry her.
matthew69 - February 29, 2008 08:02 PM (GMT)
Why didn't I think of that? Marry her! :thumbsup
Actually, the big date will be 6-7-8 (June 7, 2008). We're honeymooning in The Netherlands, Belgium, and northeastern France. We'll either have a small ceremony the night before we leave, or just find a nice spot somewhere in Europe.
Anyway, we watch our TiVo'd episodes of LOST together--with each unbelievable plot twist we fall deeper in love ;)
waxc3 - March 3, 2008 11:47 AM (GMT)
my last major gf and i am fell in love w/ LOST together.
Ultimate Katamari Lover <3 - March 10, 2008 10:39 PM (GMT)
I hope this isn't too off topic, but I watched the last few episodes, and i got addicted. Not much makes sense to me, but I still love it. I should probably start from the beggining of the series on ABC's website. :lol
waxc3 - March 11, 2008 11:06 AM (GMT)
all Lost talk is welcome.
it is a great show but is best watched since episode 1 of season 1.
matthew69 - March 12, 2008 06:53 PM (GMT)
Ultimate Katamari Lover <3, you kinda spoiled it for yourself! :P Oh well. Cuz waxc3 is right -- you ought to go back and watch it from the very beginning. See if you can get some shock treatments to erase from your brain what you've seen. Or use that gadget from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind :lol
The fun of LOST is that the significance and meaning of the island unfolds, and unfolds, and UNFOLDS slowly, gradually, surprisingly over three and a half (so far) seasons. There are myriad mysteries, and lately I've been a little obsessed with figuring it all out.
waxc3 - March 14, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
WOW! the familiar face on the boat! cool.
matthew69 - March 18, 2008 03:01 PM (GMT)
I kinda figured it might be Michael. It's so interesting how the storyline has turned, with Sayid, Locke, and Michael under Ben's thumb.
The casting in this show is so strong. I think Michael Emerson (Ben) is superb.
waxc3 - March 20, 2008 06:58 PM (GMT)
I agree. I didnt know it would be mike weeks ago when ben said he had an inside man though.
when i saw the fugure with the mop down the hall i knew.
matthew69 - March 25, 2008 02:46 PM (GMT)
I wonder if Michael will end up in the coffin (the coffin from season three's finale)....
Hmm.... [rubs chin and scrunches up eyebrows]
waxc3 - March 25, 2008 03:33 PM (GMT)
i missed last weeks ep.
will catch up this week if they show the rerun.
matthew69 - April 9, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
I can't wait for more shows! I'm so addicted :woot
discostu - April 9, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
i thought there would be a few weeks gap cos of the strike knock on effect?
matthew69 - April 14, 2008 04:29 PM (GMT)
I don't know if that's the reason for the gap. I doubt it. These episodes are filmed farther in advance than your average sitcom/drama, because of all the editing, music, special effects, etc.
waxc3 - May 9, 2008 04:33 PM (GMT)
i have missed a couple this season but i watched last night.
wow that rules!
well a well written show.
the guy that never ages has me intriqued.
johns mother was very cute!
discostu - May 31, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
