Title: The Cosmos Levels
vix - January 3, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
WLK had one and so does BK...
but as cool as these levels are, i've always wished you could completely clear the sky of all stars. anyone else ever wish they could do that?
PJSkiboy - January 3, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
Absolutely. In fact, I really thought you'd end that level with everything in the background being completely black the first time I played it.
I thought it would be cool if you could roll up everything in the HUD, like the score, the timer, etc, at the very end of the level. That truly would be everything, lol. :D

Maybe one day we'll get a cosmos level that lets us roll everything. since we're the ones adding all the stuff up there, we should be able to roll it all.

that would be amusing :P
edit: and i wish you could roll up everything until the background was black because it would make it easier to see where the stars actually were...

I second that vote! Some starts are resistant to the mysterious adhesive that is so judiciously sprayed upon my ball? Really?

to make it truly black you would have to roll much further to get those stars that are billions of miles away and shining in... then you would hit all new lights shining and repeat and repeat.
you cant roll them all, as you see the light from the stars, not the star itself...
black would look sweet though.
rolling the hud would be funny!

I just hope we get a new game where you can add all the stuff you rolled up in this game to the new cosmos ala WLK.
I think it were possible to roll up absolutely everything in SK, it would make for a very boring leaderboard. Still, a completely black cosmos in Chateau Notre Desir would be cool.
OH! I got it. What would be even cooler is if you could start rolling up the blackness too, and then underneath would be the King, just like in Egg School. Full circle, think about it...

if you could roll up everything, it would lead to people playing the levels more to create stardust to get larger and larger.
i think it would be cool to wipe the cosmos clean.

in bk people did play levels at least 10 times just to make 10 or 11 saturns and suns and moons... then it makes dust after that right?
it would still never be black though you know. always be light coming in from billions of miles away.

alright mr technical. i was just saying so you can see where you've been there's a difference in a pinpoint of light and a glowing light.

:frusty :doh darn teachers! :lol
yea i wish i could better tell what was left to grab in the bk cosmos. hard to tell in the last minutes.

I would have loved to wipe the sky clean in WLK. It would have been quite a feat to do and it's something they should think about for the future. Technically, we should be able to clear out our galaxy, no?

sure! but the stars shining in from distant locations is what i was talking about, so it would not really ever be black.
but this game does not seem to have much scientific reliance anyway... :lol
s0njas0n - January 16, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
obviously it doesn't go by science because the whole game breaks the law of physics. how could a character the size of a thumbtack push a ball the size of the earth from a complete stop?... it's impossible. but, again, maybe he has superstrength.
so give me my completely rollable galaxy.

i would love to sit in on an AP science class and listen to nerdy gamer geniuses argue the validity of katamari science!
it would be very interesting.
just like comic book hero arguements are (superman vs the flash) and all of that!
