Title: Kintaro's 3D CGI

Kintaro - December 23, 2007 06:08 AM (GMT)
Well when I'm not slacking off making katamari fan art (see my fan art thread here) I do 3D art as a hobby, and hopefully as a profession when I'm done with school and go through college and all that. I like to post my work all over the place whenever I see an art side forum to get a large range of opinions and criticism to improve my work. Here's some of my most recent stuff.

Generic face. pretty boring lol

Howl's moving castle super detailed environment model, work in progress. I love the film this image is based on, although I think a castle like that wouldn't actually be able to support itself. o,O

Apartments. I don't think apartments this clean actually exist, but it makes for a pretty image : P

@Tofu:haha thanks, I would to. I really like urban city scenes like that, sometime I'm going to make a larger city area, I'll try to be more realistic and not make it look so clean though : P

@Marbig: Thanks

@Katamari>Kalamari: Thank you very much!

@Vix:Thank you

Wow that's amazing, wish I could do 3-D.

3D isn't hard, to me its like drawing with pencil, only... in 3D. and well, not much like a pencil. XD but yeah, when starting with 3D I wouldn't recommend going to the big products like Maya or max immediately. I could probably use them now, but its good to have a rough understand of most CGI tools before using them. I'd recommend Blender. takes like two or three days to learn the interface, but yeah. it works. and its free. http://www.blender.org/ here's a where all beginners should start: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro
