Title: 360 Damaged My Disk!
Description: Ugh...

The 360 was on and I move the console a little and it started making a loud noise so I turned it off. There was a giant ring of scratches. It still worked a bit however it wouldn't load a few stages and it froze frequently. So I put it in the game doctor and now it doesn't even recognize the disk! Now I need to get a replacement. :( :mad

they don't lie when they say don't move it while it's on.

Obviously not! At least BK doesn't cost as much as most games. So don't even touch it when playing! I learned my lesson.

I think they should have made it more stable though. The Gamecube would fall from a shelf and nothing even happened to the disk.

EDIT: After opening and closing the disk tray a ton of times (ignoring the messages) it started up and everything is working. I just hope I won't have to do that every time. Even if I do at least the disk still works!

You know, I have similar issues with my disc at startup. If what you're saying is true, it's possible it got scratched one of the times when I moved my 360 a little to unplug my wireless adapter. My levels go fine, but there's a big scratch around the outer rim of the disc that apparently contains the info to start the disc. I frequently get either the blade telling me the disc is unreadable or the white screen that says "Put this disc in an Xbox 360" or whatever, but after it starts (often after multiple attempts) the disc reads fine. I always thought that it had something to do with the 100 hour achievement, but now I know better for the future.

Yeah, it sounds exactly the same. I get the same screen and everything. At least it still works, even if getting it to start is very annoying.

That has really been my only complaint with the 360 since getting it, I mean Microsoft made a decent machine, but why did they have to have the laser guide so far up on the drive unit... :shrug

I would say the 360 is more sensitive to movement then any other console ever, I mean when you can throw a brand new disk in it, use a extension cord to plug it in, and set it on the ground outside and you have your very own seismograph...it shows it has issues.

When the disc is being especially difficult, I've found that a quick wipe with an eyeglass cloth can help speed things along. If you don't have one, you should be able to buy one fairly cheap from any store that sells glasses or sunglasses. I had one lying around that a coworker had picked up at a business convention and gave to me.
