I was talking about multiplayer in another thread and slobro kind of suggested this, so I thought I'd make a new thread for board members to let each other know you're online and looking for friendly multiplayer matches.

Vix, I dunno if you want to move this or sticky it or whatever, I just thought it might be a good idea to have. I'm coming back online soon, so if anyone wants to take a run at me ;), feel free.

We couldn't even get a 2-player match started.

Ah, don't worry about it. My connection used to be junk, too. Have you run tests on your Xbox live connection? Does it say Open NAT? I had to switch to a wireless adapter when I hooked my Xbox up to my new TV, so I searched everywhere for fixes for my router, and after tearing my hair out for several hours, my wireless connection is now significantly faster than my old wired connection thanks to the new settings.

NAT says Open. The test just before the one called Xbox Live always takes a long time, but all the tests come back OK. I'm using one of the routers on Xbox.com's 360-compatible list. My internet connection works quite well on my computer.

The problem could be something as simple as the cord I'm using, I don't know. The problem isn't new. I had some trouble going online with other games before BK was released.

Some days I have very little trouble, some days I can't even get a match started :dead

Couple of ideas:

* Check the net to see if there is a firmware update for your router. They may have fixed some funkiness with a patch.

* I use a Linksys wireless router with the XBOX 360 USB wireless connector and it works really, really well.

i tried to join your game too, but then i had to go... and it might help if the person with the faster connection hosts. i was playing today, then someone joined and i was literally screaming at the game because it was sooo laggy.

I can usually host with no problems, though I've certainly had my share of issues with players that have bad connections. Since I've had so many matches with minimal lag, I figure I've got a good connection.

Can't play now though, my roommate just go The Orange Box. He's a big Team Fortress fan and I've been helping out on Portal.

I dunno! It was originally my brother's but he doesn't play often anymore so I just use his. I think he just meant a kitty to be random about it.

If anyone sees me online playing BK, feel free to invite me to join. Know though that having me in the game will probably add extra lag time between and during matches (my connection's still not good) especially in the big sprawling stages, and be forewarned that I am not hard to beat when I am trying :S and then often when very new people join in I try to make sure they finish ahead of me.

edit: If anyone wants to set a time for three or four of us to get together and play I'd sure be up for it :D

Be careful, Vix. Keep track of what day you bought the service. If you don't cancel it yourself, they will charge your card (if you used a card) automatically for another month.

i figured that so i went out and bought a card in the store for one month cause i don't want to pay for something i don't want. i figure i'll get a month's worth and i could always get more if i need it at some point.

i actually ended up getting it tonite actually while playing with sonya though playing with you last night totally helped me get closer. i'll play tomorrow maybe, right now it's burnout. :)

we were playing till we got kicked off and good lord the headset lag was just awful so we switched to the lag free burnout demo on psn.

lol, it only took 3 matches last night to get it, i think. though we played about 25 total. she helped me get my resident online roller too when we played before.

the matches with slo_bro totally helped since we just get playing for a few hours.

as opposed to what we were doing on the map :P

You had us rate BK's online play ... it's weird, but I would rate the activities in between matches slightly higher than the matches themselves :)

Hello everyone, I'm new here.

I've just got a brand new Xbox 360 for my all-time favorite game. Sadly, when I tried to play online, I figured out that there was no one in Katamarius. Is there still some players who try to go online for a match ?

I know Katamari isn't the best multiplayer game, but I'd like at least unlock some of the three online achievements.

My copy of BK was destroyed in a alien attack that involved a 2 year old human child that was mutated into a little game eating machine that decided to devour my disk.

However, I have recenty obtained a new copy of the game.
