That would be pretty sweet, though I would figure ebworld.com and or gamespot.com and more directly http://www.namcobandaigames.com/games/playstation3 would have it listed as coming soon or taking preorders.

i have to say if it does come out on the ps3 i'm sure i'd buy it... i've become a little addicted to katamari lately. it was fun before, but now i think about playing every day whether i get a chance to or not.

oh, game specific sites learned to hold on preorders for highly questionable games in most cases. this game not being publicly announced and all.

but amazon themself are often announcing preorders for things that were not meant to talked about yet. they presell stuff way too early and typically do it for way less than it will be priced for (like i preordered the halo3 soundtrack for 9.99 long ago. it is now 13.99).

other vendors ON amazon can be wrong and are all the time, like the Wii katamari i posted about a while back.

Target has the 360 BK available now, and both the PS3 and Wii versions available March 1 2008.

My only question is...if its real...will Namco-Bandai be sued by Microsoft...lol

you don't know what the deal was between namco and ms. for all we know, it could have been a timed exclusive. march is roughly 6 months after bk came out so that's what it could be.

if it is true, i wonder if i would need scoreboards for each system. i would think so since the ps3 and wi and 360 have "different" controls, etc.

And your right Vix, in the report where MS gave Namco 25mil for exclusive they didnt list anything else as far as details would go so theres real potential for it to be true.

i think some namco devs said the online aspect of the ps3 was giving them way too much trouble.
that could have been the first block in the road.
after that i have no idea...

perhaps the ps3 game will not be "beautiful katamari", but another name with a similar game with a very different online aspect?

I hope it's true, even though I have none of those systems. The more people that play katamari, the better.

I don't see how the online could have given them trouble. i mean there are more complicated games to take online than katamari. but what do i know. :P

although I personally have no clue about either system getting a BK, I just wanted to add my feelings here. I know this would NEVER EVER EVER happen but who thinks it would be cool to be able to play BK on the 360 against someone playing it on the ps3? Instead of all the diversity and fighting by the 2 companies it would be pretty cool to play the same game against others even if it's on a different system. It is still the same internet and the same game so why not?

it was on one of the interviews long ago on an OXM disc. i posted the movie somewhere, remember?
he was so excited about and went on and on about the online aspect. it was working on xbox live so far but there was much difficulty something something on the playstation network. forgot his words but that was were the rumor about ps3 bk dev troubles originated.

on OXM...um, yeah. i can't exactly say I would trust anything they say in interviews(even if it is the katamari staff) because OXM likes to twist everything about the ps3 into a negative fashion. :poke it's just like the gta iv delay was because of the ps3 but people forget how much the dev's complained about the lack of a hard drive and other issues with the 360. :poke :poke

i wouldn't be surprised if there were development issues but that's because the dev's aren't willing to tackle the ps3. they claim it's too hard to work on and yet they said the same thing about the ps2 when it came out. go figure.

regardless, this series needs to be on more platforms for them to make money. i've seen a few people say they returned BK because it's prettier but that's about it. :(

im not down on the ps3 you know! i hate 6 axis, but i like the ps3. (i dont like the wii still though :smirk )

he didnt say it was going to be delayed (this was really early still) but he said that they had tests running easily on xboxlive but the psnetwork was not working out well still...

MAYBE they held off and are packing the full version minus the live online vs onto one ps3 disc!? cool for you all then me thinks! :)

i wouldn't be surprised if the ps3 version ends up being BK with ALL the xbox dlc packed in to blu-ray and the price goes up. i'd still buy it though, without a doubt. i hate not being able to play BK with you guys.

yea i wish you had it too. amazons preorder price is still 39.99! they will give you that price if it later ends up way more...

with all of the dlc it is worth 50!

Shooters weren't my thing either but resistance is fun when playing against your friends from your friends list.

Dont have resistance, I was thinking about getting it though...Rock Band I wish I had, but we dont get it in Canada till just before xmas.

I have become a total addict. I have been drawin stuff, making stuff, doing stupid little things because their fun. The wife thinks I have to quote her "you've dun gone retarded on me dear" lol.

I have a big 6.5 foot cardboard stand from BK (EB games used it to promote BK, then they toss em unless someone wants it...I snagged it), have fridge magnets, little dolls, lanyards, buttons, keychains...all Katamari related.
