Title: #1 on Neptune Time-Attack
Description: Time Attacks
SeamonkyNG - December 2, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
It took me awhile to find out how Toni did it but I found out and destroyed his record by a second. Hey, a second counts. :thumbsup

Thanks! I also got some more news. Toni saw it and trashed my score with 16'642 or whatever it was and I was going ballistic. I started to find new ways and new things to pick up and I beat his score with 15'292. Damn, I was about to faint. Hahaha! :mu

Congrats!!! Really! I'm glad you decided to post here, Seamonky :) I see your time attack times all over the top pages of the leaderboards. I know a while back you watched my Neptune time attack video and you weren't impressed :lol rightfully so.
It took TOMI_NT a while to beat my Schloss Kosmos time, but now he's better than mine by about a minute. That leaves me just leading the Comet diameter chart and nothing else (not counting the co-ops almost no one plays).
Last I knew Dr. Thinker has two #1s in the dlc - Milky Way time attack and Space Station normal. Then there's you on Neptune, me on Comet, and someone (Bandin I think) on Space Station high-value. The Japs still have the rest :S
Oh, and in case I forgot ...
CONGRATS :ninja :cool

Score one more for the Seamonky! He has taken the overall lead in Lady Luck Casino (time attack), and he is extremely close in Sunrise Castle. And he's still got the Seadome lead :D
SeamonkyNG - December 12, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
Got another 1st place time attack at Cloud 9, Jupiter. :D
slo_bro - December 12, 2007 12:48 AM (GMT)
Sweet :thumbsup
Seamonky is the undisputable number one Western time attacker in BK. He gives TOMI_NT a run for his money worldwide, and Seamonky is the one still setting records!
Psikorps - December 12, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
Grats! :thumbsup
If I didnt roll like Britney Spears after a night with Lindasy Lohan drinking, I would be up there. But I'll be content with the EBK boards for now. :lol
katamari > kalamari - December 12, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
Oh my! Great job! I saw your name on a few leader boards. I can only get in(or near) the top ten on time attacks.
Maritimus Rain - December 12, 2007 06:03 AM (GMT)
I'm always shocked looking at those time attack boards at how ridiculously fast some of them are. I totally stink at time attack. I'm more of a finesse roller. I guess it's because I'm so bad at dashing that I never use it.

Sorry Slowbro, but I beat your record on Mechanical. My time was 1:13. I'm on a roll here, literally. As for the other time attack rolling around the earth, that's a bitch. >:(

Not quite a #1, though, is it? ;)

No need to be sorry :thumbsup I'm glad to finally see your times in the newest levels. I would have been very surprised if my Mechanical Colony record had stood up, with you and Dr. Thinker shooting at it.
Dangerous Colony time attack starts out as a good way to practice for Schloss Kosmos, then it turns into a contest to snag enough red comets to grab the King, since at the end the King and the comets make the katamari grow so much more than everything else. I'll be putting my (beatable) 1:27 video up very soon. Believe it or not I actually stay still a while, late in the video, because I'm learning where to stand to grab comets. edit: I've got time attack videos of the new stages at www.wewantkatamarivideos.com

I gotta see if you beaten it or not. If you did, I'll just play it again because I know I messed up at some points.

Dr. Thinker has the lead right now :D
I'll take a shot or two at beating Dr. Thinker's 1:11 tonight, but I think it's in a lot more danger from Seamonky than it is from me.
Dr. Thinker - December 23, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
We were on chat for a few hours that first night figuring out routes. I got one down that allows you to leave the store with under 45cm left at just over 45 seconds. I also changed up our outside route to land at 1:11. This same route could easily net a 1:05 or better with no mistakes/bumping.
slo_bro - December 23, 2007 03:37 AM (GMT)
I don't think I can be any help before leaving the building (35cm left at 1:00 is a good attempt for me), but just in case it helps here's what I do after leaving: I push to the right immediately then do a 180 and grab the vacuums and stuff behind me, then head down the road counterclockwise (well the road makes a square rather than a circle I guess) and grab the row of little people walking down the road. Hopefully I'm near 13cm left, and I grab the gates in the little indentation in the outer wall.

1:06...
Maritimus Rain - December 24, 2007 05:05 AM (GMT)
I've got to be honest. My 2:04 on Dangerous Colony time attack had to be one of the luckiest rolls I've ever had. Nothing else could explain how I ended up in the top three on a time attack board. I'm pretty sure I had 2-3 comets hit me at the exact same time right near the end.
slo_bro - December 27, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
The two of you with the awesome Mechanical Colony times, very nice; your route is a lot better than mine :)
I tried Mechanical Colony time attack at least an hour today. The main problem with my route (in my video if you really want to see it) is that so many things can go wrong ... only 1 in 4 times I start in the right place, early on the pigs spinning things hit me off track often, sometimes I'm not big enough to grab the pots going up the stairs, sometimes the turtle pwns me on my way onto the conveyor belts, more often than not I have major trouble dashing on the conveyor belts, sometimes after the conveyor belts I'm way too small, a lot of times I take forever getting outside from the conveyor belts, and even if I make it outside after 55 seconds, usually something goes wrong out there (knocked by cops, errant dash, can't dash, not big enough to grab the gates, not big enough to finish after I get the gates) that destroys my attempt. So my route's not too good :heh

TOM! come on man! you were my hero... :(
SeamonkyNG - February 4, 2008 04:19 PM (GMT)
Manage to get in second, by one second, from TOMI's record on Mercury... I think it was that planet. The one where you roll up food.

-57th? Well, Vega is kinda tough but I think you can get a better ranking then that.
-Hahaha! I'm too good.
jakeslashgod - June 4, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
i was 80th but managed 2m 12
i struggle to find anything to roll up by that point though
