Title: Remember ZetaBoards?

Remember how I mentioned a while back that the people who run IF wrote a new forum system(which is a still free, like IF) and would be what we would be using when the time has come?
No? No idea what I'm talking about? :P
Well, it seems that the final version has finally been released. :woot Now we're just waiting on the ability to upgrade.

What is ZetaBoards?
Like InvisionFree, ZetaBoards is a free message board host. We used our years of experience with InvisionFree to help build the ZetaBoards software from the ground up to address the needs of our users. In addition to an overall more intuitive feel, you’ll find tons of new features like blogs, shoutboxes, search, and custom profiles.
Since those are just some of the new features, you’re sure to find more as you use your board.
What if I already have an InvisionFree board?
For those of you with existing InvisionFree boards you’ll be given the opportunity to convert your board to the new ZetaBoards software absolutely free. As you read this we’re working on the conversion process in order to ensure that your board makes a safe transition. During this process we’ll also be measuring server performance in order to set your board up in the best possible environment after the conversion. We expect to have more information on this process within the next month.

Once given the option to upgrade, I'll upgrade the test board so I can iron out all the new features and then I'll upgrade this board and we'll have more features and more fun. :)

Question: Will you have to reload the pictures? And the skins and whatnot?

Yes! I thought the Zetaboards looked nice with all of the features and stuff. :)

It was announced back in march so the wait has felt like forever.
As far as skins go, I will have to either find new ones or make some from scratch(which i hope to do and make some katamari themed ones). Since there is a built in skin chooser, I can make all kinds of katamari skins.
I'm not sure about images in terms of the smilies but if they tranfers the board over, I should be fine.
That's why I want to upgrade the test board first. Get some stuff set up, like skins, and then upgrade here. So it doesn't look empty. :)

the easy CSS editor isn't in the upgrade yet so I'm hoping they add it in soon so i can make some skins before we upgrade.

When we get zetaboard, will we have to load all our stats again and when we get all the topics, will we not get the closed topics?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but the way you see the board now(minus the skin) will be the same. All topics, etc will transfer over.

maybe he means the number of posts you made? that is one stat it tracks.
