was it just released up there?
roll em big for me, keeps ya warm.

Its been out here for ahwile, but it seemed like the rest of Canada really waited off on getting their copys as there was only a handful of people from here playing it. Though now I notice about 5-6 times as many Canadians on it.

I'm still waiting to play the game...
There's no snow in Canada... yet.

i don't think i'm on the leaderboards at all, it doesn't show my place and score when i go to the rankings. it might be because i'm not a gold member. if so, that's kinda lame.

Yes, a major katamari board welcome :thumbsup :kyun :harvest

That's very, very lame if it's true :( It should show numbers 1 through 10, then your gamertag and score right below it. On that subject, I think my gold membership runs out in a few days :heh

I have seen Canadians on a bunch of the leaderboards, though they are mostly khfan1 (Aaronlite) and you and Mr. Magnet. I'm glad they're there :D

The leaderboard's flags would be a lot more fun if the game were available in Europe. As it is they are almost all US, Canada, Japan, and something red that's probably Korea.

Im supprised its not available in the UK, though I have seen some Russians on the boards. I cant figure out what country/ragion the people are from who have the little Prince face where their country flag should be.

Yeah it sucks, but without gold status they dont upload your scores, even for your time trials and stuff. You can view stats I think, but they dont count yours.

I think there would be alot more then the 25k or so people on the Eberybodys list if Silver memberships were counted.

khfan1 - November 24, 2007 05:32 PM (GMT)
Hmmm, I could have all my scores on the leaderboards for every other game as a silver member, so I don't think that should be a problem here. =x

no, it's true, i'm not on the leaderboards, but i can see other people's. at this moment, i refuse to get a gold membership and all my online games are going to be on the ps3 unless it's a 360 exclusive.

Psikorps - November 24, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry for bursting anyones bubbles of hopes and dreams, but it was confirmed awhile ago that BK is a 360 exclusive.

Originally Namco Bandai was set to release BK on all three systems. The PS3 first, then 360, then Wii.

However as Newsweek reported here...

Newsweek

And G4TechTV confirmed with a interview with Shukuo Ishikawa one of their CEO's, BK is a 360 exclusive, it will "never be released on another console". (Cant find link anymore...they move to fast.)

However...

For the 360 owners out there, theres some good news, G4 got a little blurb on a "possible" Complete Collection Edition for 360 owners in the future, according to Shin Unozawa (Their ower ceo guy I guess wierd having 2).

*crosses fingers*

s0njas0n - November 24, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
i wasn't saying bk wasn't a 360 exclusive, i am aware of that. i was just stating that all of the games that i purchase that i want to play online i get for the ps3. however, since bk is a 360 exclusive i bought it for the 360.

i was just making the previous statement because i don't have a gold membership on xbl therefore i can confirm that you aren't on the leaderboards with just a silver membership. sorry for causing a ruckus.

Psikorps - November 25, 2007 03:18 AM (GMT)
No ruckus at all, sorry if I came off a little snippy lol it wasnt my intention.

I just have seen alot of people posting (everywhere) they hope to see BK released on the (system name here) in the future, just figured I would post and let people know if anyone was still unsure about its fate as a 360 exclusive.

Sorry if it came off as being directed at you.

:doh

it was never billed as an exclusive though. and it was never confirmed that namco dropped the ps3 version. they never said much of anything regarding the "exclusive" aspect.

Psikorps - November 25, 2007 04:51 AM (GMT)
Thats why people still had their hopes up, then because Namco Bandai went behind the scenes to work out the exclusive details with Microsoft it took awhile before any details of it being a exclusive were made public.

In the Namco Bandai shareholders report (2nd quarter 2006, section 3 of Validated offset income if anyones looking), they denote a $25 million fee paid for exclusivity for the Beautiful Katamari with Microsoft.

They kept it secret and it was only realised once BK went Gold, my personal guess was so as not to upset the PS3 owners who may be Namco Bandai fans. But all in all I think it was rather sneaky.

They claimed it was for financial reasons alone. Noby Noby Boy apparently will be PS3 exclusive though (for hardware reasons).

I don't buy that reasoning on their part but money does talk.
