Ive only played the Japanese Me and My Katamari, and am trying out the original this time in English. Does the star name have any signifigance like in MMK such as better size gives a better name, and if so is there a list?

Do I need to keep reduing each level like MMK to get the best scores for the biggest stars and best name or will it always be the same? Any information would be great thank you.


Sorry if this was a bit confusing. My question is for the star names in Katamari Damacy...... my only point of referance for examples right now is MMK since its the only one Ive played before starting KD. Hope that clarifies

Anyways, to help you out for KD. The star names mean nothing to my knowledge, just for fun depending on what you roll up. ^___^

So there isn't an order or rank for rolling up a bigger katamari, such as if you make it 9m the name is sothing, if you make it to 10m it changes to the next name. Kind like a ranking system...

Just trying to get the highest I can in the game :)

The names are based on what you rolled up the most of. For example if you rolled up mostly cooking stuff the star might turn out "Chef Star"

Tinyosi is right, its based on what you rolled up most of. there are about 400 different combinations, although according to the creator of the game, some of them are theoretically impossible to get.
