I was wondering if it might be a good idea to add several additional rankings to the Katamari scoreboard. Obviously the major categories are already covered, but there are several other possible challenges that could be tracked.

First, in addition to size and time, the game also keeps track of the total number of objects picked up. It does this for the stars and moon and most constellations. Cyberscore does have charts for this category and I've spent quite a bit of time going for object records. It really changes the way you have to approach each level and is a lot of fun. Would it be possible to add rankings for objects collected to the scoreboard?

Second, the game tracks the size of your katamari on the constellation stages. Would it be possible to have new rankings for constellation diameters? Cyberscore also has charts for this kind of thing.

So basically, what I'm suggesting is:

New scoreboard rankings for all Stars and Moon, all Constellations except North Star, and for Eternals that track objects collected.

New scoreboard rankings for all Constellations except North Star that track diameter.


Obviously that is a lot of new rankings to add, while activity is quite low at the moment. I know I'd submit to them, but I don't know who else would. Perhaps we might get more submissions with the influx of new users from Beautiful Katamari?

Thoughts?

I'm all for new scores and scoreboards, it's just that it seems no one plays these games anymore. If I knew more than one person would submit scores, I'd add them in. Or if we could get new members from cyberscore to add their scores here.

I should have some good records on # of objects collected. I'd submit them, they are still recorded on Cyberscore.
