Hi all,

I just acquired "Me and My Katamari" in japanese version. I've viewed a few ingame videos put by slo_bro on youtube.com, and I've notice that sometimes, the katamari goes very fast as if it was in turbo mode. How do you do this ?

Did you read the manual before playing the game?

Alternately press 'up' and 'triangle' really really fast, then let go. Tada! It's called dashing.
The Katamari can also speed up by heading downhill.

For some other cool things you may not know of yet...
Up+Triangle= Foward
Left+Square,Right+Circle= Roll Sideways
Down+X= Roll Backwards
Up,Triangle= Shift Left or Right
Up+O= Turn Right
Left+Triangle= Turn Left
Up+X,Down+Triangle= Quick Shift
Up+Triangle+L,Up+Triangle+R= Slow Turn
Up&Triangle&Up&Triangle= Dash
Select= Prince Look
Left2+Circle2= Quick Turn
Right2+Square2= Royal Look
Up+Square,Triangle+Right= Car-Like Drift
Square+Right,Left+Circle= Dance

Thank you for the info. I actually read the manual (or at least tried to, as I have the japanese version :glare and my japanese level is quite weak), but I could not understand what "dashing" meant...

BTW, if someone had a scan file of the english manual or any web link where I could get it, I'm interested ... :)
