Title: Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated!
Description: Disqualified???

mackwabber - January 3, 2007 05:33 AM (GMT)
I got "Me and My Katamari" for the PSP for Christmas and I am really really frustrated!

I'm only at the Canary stage and I'm considering quiting. I keep getting a "D - Disqualified". At first I thought it was because I was sucking up animals and that I'm not supposed to. Now I believe it's because the largest Katamari I have been able to achieve is 93 cm and the game wants 1.5 meters. Either way I would be very grateful for any help or hints I can get. I have also been working on the Ant stage and have only been able to achieve 14 cm.

Thanks so much.

Don't try to roll everything up. Move on and get stuff but don't pick up every item. It's just a waste of time. You can refine your rolling once you get a hang of it. Also, make sure you go through the entire level. A lot of time, people aren't exploring the entire level. Make sure you go beyond the barriers and what not.

Same goes for the ant level, don't try to get everything, just try to get stuff to size up and keep moving on until you get the hang of it.

And welcome. :D

On the canary level, don't worry about what you pick up, just concentrate on getting it bigger. Pick up anything you can, but when he tells you to go thru the marked off area (when you reach 75) go in there and roll around. as long as it's big enough, you'll pass the stage. good luck

Yeah, I had this problem with M&MK at first, even with my experience with the previous games... but then it got easy.

Anyway, yeah - the trick with Katamari games is to not spend forever picking up all the little things. If there isn't anything that looks decently sized around you that you can roll up, it's time to move onto a new area. ESPECIALLY look for 'lines' of stuff to grab, or even better towers and clumps, they work really well.

Bigger stuff tends to be worth more points in the various categories, anyway.
