Title: Your Fire Scores Are...?
Description: beaten or just biggest

i had some huge fire katamaris but then didnt hit the logs at the top of the hill. i had a mega monster burning katamari once but hit the waterfall when i wondered if it would squeeze behind.

so are the scoreboard entries just your max size whether you failed or not? :mad
or
are they your biggest score and you lit the fire and had a campfire sigalong? :devil

That's a good question. A while back I had a similar issue with the Sumo levels. I improved on my old record for number of foods, but I didn't make it back in time to beat the opponent. My thinking then was that since I didn't actually "win" the level, I couldn't count the score. So I didn't. Also, there's no way to prove the score, in these situations, since the screen goes immediately black, etc. Seems like the best rule is to say that you have to win the level. But that's just one man's opinion. :)

I agree with matthew. You have to win the level and automatically having your score recorded.

BTW, what was the size of your katamari in that level? Just curious.

I know my score on there is what I lit the fire with. I would assume it's the same because if the top scores were ever challenged and they couldn't provide a shot of the record in game, then we know it wasn't based on finishing the level.

good then we are all thinking the same way.
the first time i beat fire i never really went back to it.
levels like panda and alap 5 i played for many hours, but a few levels i didnt like.

my fire scores are very small because i played them maybe 5 times at the most, but i had some huge scores that rivaled top scores here but did not hit the top of the hill or the fire went out. i dont know how big they were as i didnt write them down and now forget the size.

i too think that if it wasnt recorded (by finishing) it doesnt count.

thanks buds! :china

Yeah, I had this massive Fire Katamari once, I think it was bigger than the highscore... Sadly my time ran out before I could get up the hill. :(
