Thanks, I draw it all by hand first, scan it, then I outline it in Photoshop, color it in Paint, then I blend, Airbrush and re-outline back in Photoshop.

Opeo is really cute with the cast and crutch.

Yeah, I was just hoping Lalala was a feminine title, but if it is ever determined to be otherwise, I'll just give my drawing a haircut, an eyelash trim, take off the makeup and cover up a bit more. Silly Lalala :lalala

P.S.- Bonus points to the first one to point out Lalala's major physical malformation (an error in my drawing I didn't notice for some reason)

couldn't you use the lasso tool to cut it and then flip in and then fill in the gaps behind it?

I tried that once, but then he/she would have a backwards hand that is also upsidedown. It's really not a big deal right now; when I feel so whimmed, I'll just redraw and rescan that portion of his/her body.

Funny thing is, I'm also planning to cosplay June sometime, and I thought of wearing a wig with long pigtails (light blue, though). I guess pigtails do look good on her.

I am back from my little outing and to celebrate I thought I'd take a change of pace and try a request. Just for you Vix, here's my rendition oh Shikao:

i thought lalala was a male. whatever. pretty funny for that one though. :applause

lalala doesn't have a defined gender since the character is "naked"

I love shikao, i love the little details that really make him have a personality. nice one!

Thanks for the replies. Any feedback is good feedaback. The fact that you recognized Shikao as wearing a bathrobe and holding a remote control validates my attempt :smirk . I tried making him the proverbial couch potato since he is supposed to be all about TV.

As for Lalala, I know he/she is gender anonymous, I just went with the feminine possibility. Regardless, thanks for the input. :thumbsup

I noticed the multicolor antenna's too, i'm assuming one for color and one for black and white(aspects of tv production)?

Actually they're spherical versions of the "lost signal" bars for empty television channels and TV static. Unfortunately they do not translate on this shrunken version of the image. Happily, the resize creates the effect you describe.

I draw the letters as if they were part of the picture itself. I based them off of the We Love Katamari lettering style (with some liberties of course).

Wow, stg, what a great artist you are! I love the style in which you're drawing the characters, it's very original. Somehow, it's still very reminescient of katamari even though you're drawing the cousins in a totally different style. My favorites so far are Kuro and Lalala, although June is very cute too. I've always thought of Lalala as a female as well, so you're not alone there, my friend. I look forward to seeing more from you. Are you eventually going to do all the cousins? I'd love to see Dipp and Kenta sometime, but go at your own pace and do the cousins you want to do.

While I have Jungle in progress, and I am familiar with Dipp, Kenta remains a conundrum. Since I am not a big fan of the PSP, I never got the Katamari Title for it, leaving the rookies a mystery to me. If you could provide me with the in game descriptions of the Rookies (or even returning cousins and second cousins) I could try to sketch them accordingly. If I am not mistaken, Kenta is the centaur version of the Prince correct?

Yes, Kenta is the centaur version of the Prince. If you look on this topic here - Dancing Cousins - you can see an animated picture of Kenta rearing up on the first post. But, you don't have to do Kenta just because I requested it. In reality, I'll be happy with any cousin you post up and since you don't have M&MK, I'll definately understand if you don't want to do the rookies.
