Title: How to get bigger in Eternal stages

Lo7 - June 30, 2006 10:34 AM (GMT)
Hi!
I see that records in the three Eternal levels are just a little bigger than mine, even if I roll up all the items on the scenario. So, I wondered if a strategy could help me in getting bigger. I mean, maybe I have to roll up all the small objects before, then I have to pass the barriers of the second part of the stage, rolling up everything and so on... Do you use any strategies? I always miss 3-4 centimeters to create a big katamari like yours. :P

Hope you reply me! :smirk

And sorry for my english (It is almost understandable :D ) :heh

Hmmm...I don't believe we've posted eternal scores for KD anywhere...the scores on the scoreboard are for the actual levels, not the eternals. It's impossible to get a larger score in an eternal that what you would have gotten in the timed levels. What records are you talking about? :)

I meant I saw them on CyberScore. :heh

Ah, well, you'd have to post some of em here. :)

Yeah, I usually end up just short of the (Cyberscore) top scores in the Eternals too. Yup, to get those few extra CMs, one good strategy is to pick up small stuff before it disappears, and save larger stuff for last.

A strategy for Eternal 3 has been discussed quite a bit here. As soon as you reach 300m, stop picking up big things, and go after all the small islands and whirpools. If you don't get them before you reach 500m they will disappear. Also, save the 3 tornadoes to be the very last three things you pick up. That way less things will disappear.

You can do the same type of thing in Eternal 2. My suggestion would be just to try to pick up the smallest things you can find the whole way. That way you might break the no. of objects record too.

Believe it or not, you can get just as big in Eternal 1 as you can in Make A Star 4. In fact, since you have time to pick up small things before they disappear, my Eternal 1 best is 1mm bigger than my MAS4 best. But it's a whole lot more fun to go for size in MAS4 (my favorite KD stage) than it is to play the Eternal, just my opinion.

I think eternal one is the only eternal that lets you come close to, if not beat, the timed score.

Maybe we should consider adding in the eternals to the scoreboard for the hell of it? :D

Hey, it wouldn't do any harm, good idea. :D

Yeah, I don't see why not. I'll add in a submit section and a scoreboard section now. :)

thanks slobro :P
i'll try doing in this way, i hope it works better.

I saw your record in eternal 1 is 1,344 mm... mine is 1,343 but I'm not able to improve it. :(
How did you get it? :smirk

vix, i'll post my records later ;)

1,344 in Eternal 1 for me was totally a matter of always collecting the smallest objects I could find the whole way. I know I made sure I ransacked the area on top the kitchen table when I was no more than a meter. And I got most of the Darumas and fishing poles way up high, again when I was about a meter. I save the yellow poles and the laundry poles for last. That's all I can remember, since I haven't gotten that size for a long, long time.

Slobro yesterday I finally got until 1,344. :D
I have rolled up a lot of little objects. It was helpful for me. :bleh
