Why not set up a katamari role playing game.

I'd post a list of all the characters available, then users would pick who they want to be on a first come first serve basis and then the narrator would give them missions and such, kinda like a mini rpg.

Anyone interested?

Shouldn't it be Katamari ROLL Playing? :bleh :katamari1 Bad puns aside, I think this would be a fun idea. What exactly did you have in mind? Like, would we each pick a cousin, or would people also play the roles of the King, Queen, Hoshinos, Fans, etc?

yeah, pretty much, once giant role-playing party, maybe give out little "make a katamari" missions.

I really like the idea! Hopefully, more people will reply to this idea soon and be willing to participate. This could be really fun, creative, and humorous, all at the same time! Of course, it would take a little effort on the part of each of the participants (hopes that people won't be too lazy to participate) :)

yay! I'm not the only one who that of katamari roleplaying! can I be my custom cousin, Kazuk-I? (just one thing he technically isn't a cousin, well, not to the Prince anyways, he's Nickel's second cousin, Huey's third cousin, and Beyonds cousin XD) and I've always liked to play as a fan or two XD

I think I'm a little to shy to join. But I'll certainly be an observer to the shenanigans :lol

So basically- everyone wants to participate, but no one wants to be in charge.

Anyone out there with a bit of experience in how this kind of thing is done want to take a stab at it? Is there anything similar out there we can take a cue from?

*raises hand* I guess I'll be in charge if nobody else will, as long as I don't have to be the first one to post XD heres a few plots we could use along the way, or to start off with:

1. Some of the cousins could decide to get jobs
2. There could be a contest or science fair at the Academy of Katamari
3. The academy of Katamari could actually open XD
4. First day of winter
5. Beginning of Fall
6. Matsuri(type of festival for anyone who didn't already know ^^)
7. Fans want to help make a new solar system the king is planning to make

(does anyone mind if I nab Huey and Colombo too?)

What's XD?

I suppose it's OK if you have more than one cousin- but not too many so everyone who wants to can still participate, and it could get confusing unless you have different logins to the site. (Oh- and I call Daisy).

What are the prizes? Are there rules? So do we send out an announcement on the general discussion page to get everyone ot participate in the fair? Should I start working on my project now?

all we need now is someone too imaginative for their own good to narrate as the king =/

i would advise smoking some of those shrooms that the original creators used when they first thought up KD...

i guess ill make a rough narration for someone to pick up on later (preferably someone with better understanding of the king's speech patterns) :P

king: we... are so bored. watching the slow movements of various cousins has left us drowsy. what is this? this feeling? impending doom. doom is all that is left for us. doom is our fate. what is that? what are they doing? oh? a 'science fair'? we have rolled up stars. we have rolled up cosmos. but we have never come across this 'science fair'. it is decided. we will have a 'science fair'. but oh? what will this 'science fair' be about? we have decided. this 'science fair' is about fast. fast is the cool thing now. go out and roll us up things that will make the katamari fast.

XD is a face, look at it sideways X_X I use it and see it in anime/manga sometimes ^^ lol XD I don't know very many people who qualify to be the king, honestly. Meh XD just to be random, I feel like making a 'katamari RP item DB' for every cousin, fan, or item in the RP XD



Huey: *cautiously steps before the King* Hello, your Kingy Kingliness ^.^ I was wondering, would clouds and their bouncy fluffiness make a katamari go fast? On some days, the clouds move across the sky pretty fastly ^^ so can we try catching the speedy fluffiness? *big cute eyes, sweet smile*

king: clouds? we believe we have seen that before. yes. we have seen clouds. but clouds fast? that is new. we have seen clouds big. but never clouds fast. oh huey, go roll us up a fast katamari made of clouds... make sure the katamari is really fast. you will have to make up for the fastness lost by the lack of other cousins. yes we are displeased with them. you must please us with your fast clouds.

"Displeased with the Prince, me?! But I'm your son! I... want a mission! I want to make a katamari as hard as stone! Fluffy is good, but stone goes through anything!"
