I'm closing in on a million roses (3/4 of the way there). I spoke with a friend who has a video capture card, and he's willing to help me vid cap the last few roses. Interested?

I bet a lot of people would like to see a video of what happens when you finish the roses. (Just make sure you let the reward music play for quite a while :) )

Argh!!!! Rolling up roses is so annoying! The levels are too small!!!!! :(

Best thing I've found is on the racetrack level, roll down the hill to the group of bunches (basically where you run out of momentum from the hill), then CnR back up the hill. I usually get about 400 roses per run, and each run takes between 15 and 20 seconds. I take it in 50k increments, and each 50k takes less than an hour.

Count me as one that would be totally appreciative if you do record it, Spudz. I have no intention of finishing the rose level (must...try to beat scores...in other levels >.<), but I would like to see what kind of reward you get if you do complete it. Maybe I should post my rose level score for comic relief :lol .

For those that have finished the rose level, you can go into it again at any time to collect more roses, though they don't add any more to your score. When you exit out, you're treated to the same ending you got the first time you finished it.

Hopefully I'll record it this week or next. This week is rough, as I have a presentation Wed that I'm nowhere near ready for, but after that I'm free. (Free... free! free!!!! :lalala :lalala :lalala )

i finally gathered the One million f****** roses. its really painful nad a waste of time, but if u are really a Katamari Fan is rewarding. besides the king gives u a cool speech. and u got roses everywhere :)

Progress update: 900k. I'll get within "striking distance" this weekend, and my friend with the capture card will be back Monday. I should have everything done and posted sometime next week.

Okay, I finally got all my ducks in a row and shot them with a Luger... or something...

I have a 650 MB raw avi dump from my camcorder (A/V pass through).

It shows the last 800 or so roses, with one level reset (which would be a good point to cut the video if we want to).

Since I'm really new to the whole digital camcorder/video editting thing, I could use some advice on encoding and compressing this beast, unless someone (Aaron?) wants the whole file, in which case we'll figure out how to transfer it (I'm on a fairly quick connection at home, and can get even faster at school).

I don't really know about video editing and such, I suck at that, but congrats on having the patience to attempt a video for such an annoying stage. Too bad I already finished 1 mil though, or I would have just watched the movie and moved on.
