Physical Description: Enticing brown eyes are set in a slender, yet full face. Her darker complexion is a sign that she’s from another country. Dark hair frames her face, and flows down a little past her shoulders. Standing at 5’4” and weighing 120 she takes after her mother.
Personality: Very outgoing and a truly trustworthy person, Avani is very likable. Though she finds herself mixing with the wrong sort of people. People who have bad or irresponsible reputations. Mostly the reason for this is bad judgment, but also for her own choosing. It is a way for her to retaliate against her family. Avani is sometimes overly hyper and gets out of hand, or she gets into moods of depression. Avani, saying the least, is unpredictable in her moods and within her actions.
She’s not the most athletic person in the world, but enjoys the competition of any sport. She keeps her body fit all year round, like her mother had.
Weaknesses:Obviously, one of her weaknesses is her bad judgment of people and sometimes her actions. This lack of judgment often causes her to get into trouble, mostly with her father. Another of her weaknesses, is that she doesn’t take the time to think things through. If she thinks it will make her father mad, she does it normally without thinking of the consequences.
Strengths: In cases that require secrecy, Avani exceeds trustworthiness. If she must, she can spin lies out of a spider’s web. She makes sure to keep her stories straight so people don’t start to doubt her. If wanted, her whole life could be and entire secret, and nobody would know.
Homeland: India
Family: *Givahn Fontelis- Avani’s father. Within his work, Givahn is highly respected, towards his family though, he is unwelcome and unpopular. Avani does not know what Givahn does for a living but has her suspicions. If Avani or her mother, Jamine, stepped out of line, Givahn would beat them. Avani would sometimes get beaten using his wand, and Jamine only with his own strength. He didn’t want Jamine knowing that he was a wizard for it might ruin his job. Givahn is tall at 6’2” with brown hair and cold, grey eyes. He is in shape, and strong due to the physical aspects of his work.
*Jamine Fontelis- Avani’s mother. Jamine is a muggle women and hasn’t the slightest idea that Givahn is a wizard, nor that her daughter a witch. Jamine had adored Givahn when she had first met him in a marketplace in India. Jamine is considerably shorter than her husband, 5’4” and also keeps herself fit and healthy. She wore a bindi as tradition for all women in India who were not widowed.
*History of the Fontelis Family- Givahn and Jamine
The adoration of Jamine made Givahn want to marry Jamine, unaware that she wasn’t a witch, nor caring. Far a while the marriage was a happy one. Givahn allowing Jamine to care for his every need and Jamine doing them happily. Everything changed though, when Jamine became pregnant with her first child. Givahn wanted only a boy so that he could rule in his fathers footsteps. Jamine gave birth to a eight pound baby girl, and to make matters worse, she wasn’t magical. Givahn, hot tempered and angry, took the first chance he got, and did away with the girl while Jamine was in the marketplace.
Jamine was weak with the loss of her child. Doctors couldn’t find the cause of the sudden death of such a healthy baby. Jamine whimpered to Givahn, who consoled her seldom.
Their second child came, Avani, this child was not a boy but was of magical abilities. Givahn accepted the child, but was inattentive to her. Jamine couldn’t buy Avani everything she wished to, for Givahn wanted Avani to grow into a self capable individual. Someone who would be able to take care of herself even under the hardest of circumstances. He would train her in his work, so one day she could take over.
Jamine grew suspicious of what Givahn did for a living, she know something was different about him. Something that made him different from her. When Avani turned five, Jamine got the courage to speak her suspicions. She asked Givahn what he did for a living and why he was acting indifferent to their daughter. He replied saying, “If I tell you, I’ll have to kill you.” Jamine, backed down and threatened to leave. Givahn, without warning pulled his wand out and pointed it to the small of her back. In a flash of green Jamine Fontelis was no more and Avani was left to live with her father.
History: Avani grew up, with her mothers teaching. She would go walking with her mother or would help her in the flower gardens. Avani also grew up wearing the traditional bindi. She would only be allowed to do this whenever her father wasn’t around. As years went on she turned five, not really knowing her father except for the few times he came home during the day. She didn’t talk to him, and he didn’t talk to her. It was a way they found a sort of respect for each other. After her mother died, in the tragic accident, Avani and Givahn moved to London, Great Britain. Givahn taught Avani self defense using physical strength and taught her spells of defense though she had no wand. Avani never paid attention to the spells, for she wasn’t believing that she was a witch and he a wizard. If Avani was ever to step out of line she would be disciplined harshly. Sometimes she would have welts on her arms or bruises. Her father didn’t send her to a muggle school, because he knew she would be attending Hogwarts. He had saw some of her magical abilities when she was mad, and knew she would be a great person of power. And took more measures to start preparing her to follow in his footsteps. She wasn’t ever in contact with kids her own age, unless it was the children of her fathers fellow workers. At the age of eleven, Avani received a letter to attend Hogwarts. She would be leaving her father, but at only eleven she didn’t realize how much she was missing. Now, she’s about to learn and grow suspicious of her fathers doings and work. [/i]
