And cried even worse in the manga, if you guys saw the manga, its 10x worse than the anime!

If it wasn't for him, Barfing out those Red stones, EDWARD WOULD NOT HAVE STOOD A CHANCE! It shows in both the manga and anime, he could regenerate his body parts and is practically invulnerable. So stabbing him in the stomach wouldn't be that painful.

He was a cool character, and I think that they would have been interesting allies, too. It would be like joining up with your enemy. The only reason that Ed was angry at him was because he kidnapped his brother.

But Greed didn't hurt Al, err.... not like he can get hurt anyway. B)

*raises hand* I believe he shouldn't have died. And it IS worse in the manga. But in the manga he made Envy almost cry ^^

I'd also loved to see them as allies. Greed and Al would get along fine, and Ed would always hate Greed, which would amuse Greed, I'm guessing. XD I should write a "What If" fanfic, for Greed.

Who can say no to this face?

You later find out, that if he did team up... all that misfortune that comes up after can all be avoided.

Personally I think too many people were sacrificed for Ed and Al's sake...

Okay: Which is better? Manga Greed or Anime Greed?

I can't decide which is better: Manga Greed or Anime Greed. Manga Greed's a good deal nicer (for the most part) but anime Greed seems to care about his subordinates more. Manga Greed likes Izumi (XDDDD Too bad the feelings aren't mutal) but Marta likes Greed in the anime. (Or seems to; She definately looked jealous when you saw Greed for the second time, if you know what scene I'm talking about) But manga Greed DID make Envy cry at one point...but anime Greed actually fought with Envy...Bah, I can't choose.

Well I'd say they are interchangeable and quite frankly alike. I mean Greed is kind to Al and cares about his chimeras in both. I bet in the anime they would show more of Greed if they didn't rush it so badly >>;; but Greed's death in the anime was just sloppy... not to mention his death was totally ignored by Ed all together. Only Martyl and Al seems to cherish it.

Seriously, you'd think that after Ed's splendid performance of crying after Greed died that he'd be more affected by it. <_<


There are some scenes in the manga that I really wish were in the anime. Like when Greed tells Ed that he shouldn't always follow his instincts and what not.

there is no seals in the manga, just death in a certain manner.

It's not all lovely and happy ending, tha's wha i love about FMA the storyline is deep and emotional anyone can die in it, it aint some babyish cartoon where the good guys win all the time and none of them die... Greed was also one of my favourites ;) (Infact greed is always my new online name when i play mmorpg's or join forums.)

Anyway the point is greeds death was essential to the storyline and is what made ED stronger giving ED the courage to kill without hesitation. Greed's henchmen made you hate the homunculus even more, therefore you got more into the anime becuase of his henchmans honour, you got to hate the villians after all.

The point is FMA is realistic anything goes, anyone dies, everythings unpredictable and that's what makes it the best damn thing i ever seen.

You cried when he died :blink: .... :D :lol: lol. I was sad when he died but it was expected. I can't beleive a anime made you cry though... it just goes t show how great FMA is though doesn't it? It's so beutiful the way humans cry over drawings and sounds it just goes to show how pwerful FMA is and it would have been boring if ED and greed teamed up, to tell you the truth FMA is perfect the way it is now, nothing needs to change just becuase you want it to. <_<

Greeds gone and he won't come back face it. He was ended in a great way and ED did remember greed always since ED remember greed when he was fighting the others he remembered the "will to kill"
Without greed dying ED wouldn't have had the courage to kill anyway so ED would have died and so would have greed eventually. I don't know how else to explain this but greed needed to die in order to make ED stronger.
