Other Info: Franz Hardbell: the Scrying Alchemist. Carries a pocket watch chain that he fights with. He spins the chain, deflecting bullets. The hook thing at the end is a blade that he uses to slit the throats of his enemies. He also charges it with alchemic energy and throws it to shoot enemies. Is later found out that he is a Homunculus with acidic blood.

This is a long one, but to understand my character you need to read all of it. All this information is needed to comprehend who she is.

My character is named Tanglao Mahalaga she is the main character from my story coming out in the summer of 2006. The name comes from Tagalog a Filipino Language. Her name means light, guide and precious respectively. She changes her name to Jewel Eons when she gets to central. She is then known as the Jewel Alchemist after being enlisted into the Military. She is enlisted in Mustang's group and is stationed at the lab to teach the scientists about Jewel Alchemy.

Mysterious black eyes with a scar on her back to indicate that she is apart of her tribe. 5 feet, very serious, good fighter and protective of the ones she loves. She is 16 when she becomes a State Alchemist and this is around when Edward is on his journey with Alphonse to find the Philosopher's Stone. She only wants to be a State Alchemist to gather funding and information about her tribe that was massacred when she was seven. She vows to find the killers and avenge her tribe. She also hears that someone might know the formula to create a Philosopher's stone without the aid of human sacrifices. The formula belonged to her tribe.

Home Land: She is from an island far East of Xing. The Island is named Nawala, Nawala means Lost in Tagalog. This is a lush island, it is always hot there and has many typhoons. It's seasons consists of two types the rainy and dry seasons. The area is surrounded by vicious animals created by their ancestors who used alchemy on animals and plants to try and create a food source that provided all necessary vitamins and would never diminish over time or through the worst of storms.

Bio: Her whole tribe was killed by an army of foreigners who sought the Formula to create the Philosopher's Stone without the need for human sacrifice. She was in the woods gathering fire wood with her older brother when they attacked. They hid in their secret place which was a hole in the ground that they dug in the middle of lots of bushes. This was their secret club house. They heard screams and when they were sure that all enemies had left they came out. They saw blood stains all over the ground and bodies without bones. Her family was massacred. They looked for survivers but could not find anyone. They decided to resurrect their father since he knew the most about Alchemy and the world in general since he was chosen to be an elder. They found their father's body in the Elder's laboratory. She lost her brother and could not bind his soul to anything for there was nothing useful to bind it to. She then saw that her father was a monster coming to life. But the life of her brother wasn't enough it started to take her bones since the father didn't have any bones. she felt the pain and then grabbed the bag of incomplete alchemic gems next to her and transmuted them into her bones. She saw information pass by her eyes and suddenly she knew everything about other lands and alchemy. The monster began to walk, but she ran and burn the Elder's sacred hut to the ground. She then decided that it was not safe to stay there and so she gathered all the rations she could to journey out of the village. But she didn't know where to go suddenly she remembered that a stranger of white skin was taken into the medicinal hut and so she decided to look through his backpack. Perhaps she could escape to his homeland. She found a map of a strange land called Armisters (sp?) (The country where central is located.) A location was circled and by it was the words, "You are to report back to Major Hakuro in Central when you have found the information. Burn this map when you are done, you don't want anyone to follow you." She then took the compass, clothes, and map on her journey to this land. She thought that such nice things like the compass must come from a nice place. So she traveled there and became a state Alchemist known as The Jewel Alchemist. Since her bones are fragile and her body will one day reject the bones she must return herself to normal. If one bone breaks the shards of gems will destroy her internal organs. She seeks a body guard to watch her back while she tries to avenge her tribe and help her along her journey to find the Formula.

Family: A mother, father, three brothers and two sisters. She also has one other older brother but he was exiled when he was 10 because he could not do alchemy.

About her tribe:
She is from the Makipag-away tribe (the word means to fight). This tribe based their lives on alchemy. They specialize in Mahalagang bato Ibahin direct translation is Gem Transformation, or Jewel Alchemy. Jewel Alchemy is where the people create gems that house alchemic catalysts, like the Philosopher's Stone. But these gems are not as powerful a catalyst as the Philosopher's Stone. They grow wildly in deep mines and caverns. They have been perfecting these gems and they are able to tweak the gems' chemical structure into a stable substance. What the gem's purpose is solely depends on what chemical they use to tweak it with like inserting nitroglycerin molecules would create an unstable explosive. (e.g. fast explosives, tiny smoke bombs, or lethal poisons...etc.) The gems are structured in such a way that it stays stable and allows other molecules to be inserted.
They are a warring tribe and specialize in creating powerful weapons that usually need alchemy to control them. They sell or trade their less powerful weapons to other tribes around them. They also have one special formula, that can create a Philosopher's Stone without the need of human sacrifice. They vow to protect the formula form foreign hands. Their government consists of elders who are chosen via the oracle to rule the tribe. The elders are the ones who control the use of the Stone. They only use the Power of the stone if dire situations call for it. This is because the chemical that is used to create this stone is scarce.
Since the life of the tribe is based on alchemy all children who do not have the ability to perform alchemy are exiled into the forest of darkness. Every child is given a certain weapon that foretells their destiny. It is given by an Oracle. The child needs the ability to use alchemy to use the weapon to it's full potential and to survive.

Biography: He was born in a wooded forest where he was born of the half-dragon tribe he became an exile when he started to study the laws of alchemy a forbidden study for it was alchemy that bindend there souls with the one of alchemy him becoming a alchemist with the pours of the elemental pours of the dragon gave him over whelming pours the only problem with that is his achemy is twice as slow to create then the normal alchemist because of his dragon heritage.

Also there are ones that stretch down either of her sides. The dragon insignia in on her face and is around her left eye.
PERSONALITY:
She’s quite difficult to understand, she’s usually laid-back, but could be a handful at times. Wrath seems to follow her and she looks up to Envy as an ‘older sibling’ and as a ‘stupid pain in the butt’. She’s ARROGENT of course!
HISTORY:
Her sister, Alou and herself did an experiment to try and get each other the ability to turn into animals. It succeeded, but in order for it to work, Kiba would have to give up herself and become a homunculus. It worked, but she was still human with the Oroboros Symbol. Envy and Wrath were drawn to the area while the sisters were celebrating and forced her to eat a Red stone, completing the transformation.

Bio: She came Amestris to get away from her abusive father at the age of 13. She is from Tsarskoe Selo where all people have nearly white hair. It snows year-round and is a Patriarchal nomadic village. They keep traveling to find the legendary ðàé or paradise that their God has predicted they would find. Women are considered their slaves to do the men's bidding. aëõèìèÿ or alchemy, is usually forbidden for women, since their God says that women are to foolish to learn alchemy. However she was born with a transmutation circle on her chest. People saw this as a mark from the devil, and so her father and her were treated like dirt. Her father blamed her for the village treating them like dirt. Luckily at 16 she manages to escape while the village stopped near a seaport to trade. She stowed-away on a trading ship, and ended up in Ishval.
The war was going on, she was scared out of her mind when she saw all the dead bodies. She ran into the desert stopping at the few villages she saw, she then found a village to stay at and she stayed there for 10 years and learned English as well. She trained from then on to become stronger. Then walking near by an ally-way she was attacked thieves. Exhausted from training she could not fight however,she managed to bite one of the thieves loosening his grasp on her. The blood dropped on her chest as she ran and the transmutation circle was activated. A clone of the robber was created, confused and afraid of what they saw the robbers ran screaming. A military truck was stopped near there to check on a rumor that a new government was being formed to attack central. They heard the screams, and saw alchemic light from the women's chest (near the collarbone really) The military saw her talents and she agreed to go to the Military. She wanted to grow stronger, and with this new ability she would do just that.
However, she hardly trusts anyone, a good liar, platinum blonde hair, black eyes, tough women, popular with the men, but is uninterested in all of them. She is usually a rebel and hates to follow orders, however Jewel has gained her respect since she's gone through as much as Mirage. She's in Jewel Alchemist's group at Central. When the Jewel Alchemist leaves for her field studies (when she searches for the Formula), she has a hard time listening to Jackson.

Bio: An older sister who was exiled at the age of 20 when people find out that her capacity to learn alchemy was full. She feels that Jewel has betrayed their clan, since Jewel taught foreigners about Jewel Alchemy. Innocence will bring Justice. She helps her leader by charming all who come her way and kill who isn't needed. To hide the fact that she is a homunculus she wears light colored dresses that cover her ourobouros. She went into the Forest of Darkness (were exiled people go) and never came back. She was found by another tribe who knew alchemy, they wanted to resurrect their King who was killed in war. However, they failed and Lust was the resultant. Her Ourobouros is on her chest. She has short black hair, black eyes, and dark skin, conniving, and very smart. She seems innocent and lures one in then kills them.
Special Ability: Her body can turn into piercing needles, Lust kills.
Herweapon: A whip made out of small sharp crystals, when the whip is straight it appears to be just a solid whip. But really there are minuet red crystals that create a serrated edge. It is very flexible and the crustals are stronger the diamond ten-fold. The handel is made out of steel with ancient text written onit. The weapon is called The Nakatatakot (dangerous) Kagandahan (Beauty). This is Tagalog.

Jackson:

Bio: Was found by Jewel near dumpster in Drachma at age 16, he was orphaned at a young age. He was about to kill himself because he couldn't stand living his life on the streets. He always had this necklace around his neck and he found that, with it he could control the electrons in the air to create a focused light beam. He was going to strangle himself by using his ability to control electrons and turned it into a rope. He thought that he was abandoned because he had these powers. The Jewel Alchemist was about 13. She saw the alchemic light and told him that he had a talent. She said that he could come with her where he could have a job and do something with his life. She also promised him that she would be his family forever and he would have a nice warm bed and hot meals if he came with her to the Military.
He is the most loyal of all Jewel's solider's, he has a good eye for details. He has never left her side since then. He knows everything about Jewel's past. He is a sweet handsome man, brown hair, green eyes, very protective of Jewel for he is in love with her even if she only loves him as family. He is an example of a perfect solider, he follows orders to the latter, and is loyalty is unmatched. He is also brave and can fight really well since he's been protecting himself on the street for many years. The Jewel Alchemist was able to create a ring for him in which it contained a small transmutation circle. The gem was also created by Jewel where she replaced the inside of the gem with mirrors that are placed just right so it will focuse the energy even more. All he has to do to activate it is touch the ring with his fingers. This creates a deadly weapon.
