For months although it seems like years
We've known each other now
We've been both friends and rivals
And we've had our share of rows
But thanks to you I've dropped a mask
And can show another side
One I used to hate
And one I'd hide

I don't know all you've taught me yet;
Still learning as I go
But that's the story of my life,
At least the parts I know
Though knowing all that I know now
How can I say goodbye?
"Ah well, c'est la vie,
Tojours j'ai..."

But I understand and I won't tell you
Whether you should stay
I've almost left myself in fact
Though I couldn't keep away
But tonight, I think, as I lie here
Just staring at the wall
That you're the one I'd miss
The most of all.
