Don't anybody think that the death of Maes Hughes was sad? to me its so terrible that he died in the anime(i don't know if it happened in the manga)its just so sad :( .

It happens in both manga and anime, but personally, I think that in the manga it is sadder...*tears up* Need...to stop....talking about.....Hughes!!! *runs away crying*

O.o that's right.......Hughes wasn't the sadest thing to me......DEFINITELY Nina......OMG, that was the first ep I saw and I cried, not even knowing what was going on.....T.T

the first time i watched the ep when hughes died i almost cried. but the second time i cried. it was so sad. i really like hughes. :(

I sobbed for hours on each death throughout the whole series.. O.o

and for some reason i sobbed for a few seconds after hohenheim died..

Hughes actual death wasn't as bad as his funeral in my opinion. "What are they doing to daddy. Tell them not to disturb him he has work to do. He told me." that was the sadest part. But the death was bad, the funeral was worser.


And i did the same thing as you did Kimi when i though Edward finally died in episode 50.

Yeah i grinned and laughed a bit. Let me list a couple of things:


1: the way Envy did it was perfect. Really that was a masterpiece how he made Edward think twice and stop in his tracks then he stuck him right through the heart.


2:He's a bad brother. Everytime Alphose is in trouble it always seems like Edward isn't there. Think about it.

3: How many times has Edward "Narrowly escape death" in the entire series? At least 4 different times. Stay dead for once.

There's more reasons but those are the immediate ones that come to mind. And i don't hate him....... per say.

The manga is sadder in every way. Cause you just keep starring and you can't turn the page no matter how hard you try and you have to finally just close it and go cry on you bed and your mom thinks your weird cause your all upset over a story and you like 'But mom! He DIED!' and she just thinks your weirder....and yes, this happens to me alot. Anybody read manga vol. 9? And see who died that didn't die in the anime? Talk about depressing. I was sad for the rest of the day when i read that.

Ed reminds me of my boyfriend (Chris... he used to have LOOOONNG hair and he let me braid it ^^) and so when he died, I couldn't stop crying. I had nightmares for 6 weeks straight of losing my best friend/boyfriend.

SO DO I. i'm always in the hospital because I live on a street where i need to cross a busy street to get to school, and people are actually dumb enough to run over kids for points, I always escape death, I get the crap beaten out of me alot out of the Martial Arts building, I'm just like Ed but without blonde hair and prosthetic limbs. "Stay dead for once" is what my enemy told me last time i was in the hospital. please keep your comments to yourself.

The way Envy did it traumatized me for the rest of my puny life. It really was a masterpiece to make me have nightmares for so long. -grrrr- sorry i've had a bad day i got rammed into a fence on my way to school by some kids on bikes. and it was the first day of school.

1: I live by a highway and i used to live by a highway where more than 5 people was hit by a car and killed. Actually it was called the "Blvd of death" so lets not talk about killer streets. Martial arts is like boxing/football etc you can get injured. Now lets compar loosing two crucial limbs and being fitted with fictional limbs. Also how long could have really survived with loosing that much blood. Being stabbed through the Chest, haveing flaming pieces of steel fall on you. That just to name the few times he should have died for sure..... And Kimi asked me what i think so i stated it, besides why are you getting mad at me for dislikeing a fictional character.

i'm a trickster too I'd do the same thing only not to Ed.
and school is better but I always feel sick and Chris (my best friend/boyfriend) asked me about 12 times if i was ok. I went to the office to lay down and when glenda didn't believe me I said in a weird voice "i'll prove it to you" and I didn't ignore my dizzy mind and i collapsed :lol: That's enough proof to get me in a hospital, but they didn't go that far..

because "Edward Elric" is what I call chris ... when i'm in a good mood.. :unsure: and i hate it when people say Edward's death was perfect, and i had to listen to my evil cousin cackle is head off for hours after seeing episode 51, after i got tired of him I smacked him upside the head and threatened "if you cackle one more time, All of your limbs will become prosthetic" and he screamed when i let go of him and he ran away. I kick butt when people worship someone's death, if Chris died (which... I... I.. couldn't... handle... never..) I would actually kill the first person to laugh. Chris is my Edward, he just needs to grow back his hair.. but right now he's more of an Alphonse. but his voice is a mixture between a younger havoc/Alphonse/Edward/
but anyway, back on topic.. I just get upset easily and i'm sorry..

Hughes was/is my favorite. He was the kind/caring/obsessed person. He was like me. I've watched all of the series and the movie, and now I honor hughes by only watching episodes where he's not dead or going to die.

After watching the epsiode where Hughes dies I swore never to watch that episode again.
