Title: The Forum
Description: Is it spiraling down hill?
The Shadow Alchemist - August 31, 2006 02:23 AM (GMT)
It has recently come to my attention that this forum is falling apart, many people are leaving because the MODs are beginning to have issues, and this creates more problems. Also, since people are unable to talk as freely with each other as when I first found this place, many friendships have died in quick succession. This is because communication is at an all time low. Please, hear my cry, this forum is about to disintegrate! We need to keep a positive position in this or else this forum as we know it will be gone forever.....

Hear hear! i belive that many are not visiting as much also! Everyone seems to be disappearing....everyday when I come to check in (sometimes it can be up to a week) and NOTHING would change! No posts....no nothing....
Of course! Everyone HAS gone back to school, and if there like me, there isn't much time for forums....
xGhostx - August 31, 2006 09:59 PM (GMT)
>.> In my opinion the forum has been dead since the RPing lost its power over the forum. BUT! Since everyone is back I do believe that may change..~
Also, school has started and that means social lives and homework, it might pick back up during weekends.
and nothing is wrong with us MODs, our intrests and concerns over the forum are to keep it alive. We are not restricting you or preventing you from talking to people at all. just not SPAM, you have PM's and you have spam topics to do such things in.

Well it's not dying THAT fast. I usually only post in the Homunculi Team RP or the RP board. =/ I'd say that summer and the new school year will slow everythin gdown, but other than that this forum is abit too big to die completely.
As for mods having issues?
Dark General - September 1, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
I agree the Mods do have problems................
*laughs* i'm just yanking your chain. Anyway all they are doing is expressing their concern for the boards due to the increase of pointless topics and dier off topic discussions. Add that to fact that hardly any one Rp's anymore or people Respond to a Rp once a month if at all, it's standards are droping drastically and the Mods are trying to rebuild it in some manner.
This is the rebuilding stage of the forum i think. And as with any rebuilding stage things get harder but it is to true to make a productive future for the newer members that comes here. Just bare with us and thing should increasingly get better as time passes by.

>.> Want the grim truth, guys? FMA is old, and not many new fans are going to be pouring in, eventually we will all begin to ask ourselfs why we have clung to something so dead for so long. Whens the last time we watched an episode? Or really disscussed anything from the series? (Whos your favorite charater polls do not count)
Since there is lack of fresh episodes and mangas and a developing story, disscusions have become limited and already done. As for roleplaying, it gets rather limited and not many still even do it anymore. New ideas get harder to come across, most things have been done. Unless you start changing and adding worlds, governments and technologies (which would change the fact its FMA) it will slowly die.
BUT, once the movie comes out in america, we will have another rush of people join this forum because FMA will draw back old fans and new ones. So, it will thrive for another few months and then we will be back here again, only to await certain extinction or (if they make another season) a resurection.
But, that is just my opinion on all of this.

I agree....Anime fans have phases, and right now the new craze is Naruto. Sorry to say it but its true, Im seing alot of Naruto and to be frank Im one of the fannatics myself. FMA is now the hot of last year...Just like Inuyasha the year before.
BUT im sure the forums will pick back up soon enough with the release of the movie in english, and I think school will just be a better thing...More computer access and Homework skipping to do XP lol

This forum is way more active than mine, you really shouldn't worry about it going downhill. on my board, the most online was 12, on this board it's like 40! i only got 49 members, this board has 659.

The way I see it, we have more nubs joining and too many old people leaving. I don't see what mods have to do with it at all.
I'll try to be more active myself >.>
