Okay i was thinking about this the other day when i was watching some show on T.V about groups etc. And i was wondering what position do you guys usually take in groups? Like for example:


Leader
Subordinate
Suporter
Co-Captian
Slacker
Idea maker
A Doer (the person who does the plans)
Percrastinater (you put things off untill the end)



Well you get the idea by now. So what roles do you guys usually play in a group? Or it can be in various groups you are in what role(s) do you take on?

I'm usually the supporter/slacker.

...if I'm forced to take charge, I kind of freak out. I'm fine with just supporting.

Slacker, idea maker, doer, and co captain (I don't directly lead the group, but I do lead it anyway, I guess that would be a cocaptain, being leader is to tiring anyway :P)

Idea maker, Leader, Procrastinator and sometimes co-captain.

I'm usually the supporter or Idea maker in like "projects" for stuff. In like a group of friends i'm usually the Doer or the person who usually keeps a level head.... I'm not one to be a leader because it dosn't appeal to me but i can do it if i have to.

i procrastinate, i'm not a leader (like vivi i dislike it heh), i'm better suited for giving support and stuff like that. .. like if you tell me what to do (like give me an order of what you want done and that kinda thing) i can do it just fine but yeah.. in a group of people i usually sit in the back and think of stuff to say but never actually get around to vocalizing anything.

subporter all the time, I don't get aloen with that much people in my class. (I am the loser in all my my classes)

Idea Maker, Procrastinator...

I've been the leader before, and while I'm good at it, I prefer to let someone else be in charge. After all, if I'm in charge, I have to work at it and can't take a break, really. For sites I own, I have a co-admin who probably dies just as much as me, and who takes charge a lot.

Personally, I'm more of a go-with-the-flow person. Co-Captain I can be... it means I'm still not the one in charge. Since I'm not the best dealing with people, it's usually better to let someone else who gets things more take the reigns.

I don't work in groups. But I suppose if I were I'd be the ideamaker,doer, and leader. I have a vision about how I want things done and trust no one else to do it right.

Yeah, I really hate it when my friends fight. I always try to get everyone back togather again. Oh, and yes, I'm going to prank some evil people I hate this year. Which is going to be fun.

Leader: When I knwo I can do a better job than anyone lese and the others let me
Subordnaite: When I know someone else is more qualified for the job or I'm trying to help some one learn how to lead
Slacker: When some one lese is leading and I am not confident in their leading skills
Procrastinater: When I get bored of the other Three (WHichs happens a lot)

No offense but isn't that a bit hypocritical? You said you would take position of leader if you were more qualified...then you say if someone less qualified is leading you would slack off...or be a subordinate to help them in some ways....then you say you would procrastinate if/when becoming bored with the above three....which is it?

Wow, you guys is heavy on the domination i see. Me i'd rather be a Merc, or a leader of mercs or in a merc-like group. Nothing like being a hired gun.

In all society and people (let me make a blanket statement) you are either self defined or defined by others, therefore it is a group of those who take control (which yes this implies domination) or those who let themselves be made fools and dance at the whims of fate. Essentially I believe everyone here to some degree is a leader.

Also, by stating 'rather' you imply that it is something different than what we're saying. Leading mercenarie's or yourself is no different than leading in any other group or society. Contradiction much? I mean...not that you asked which profession we'd rather be or how we prefer to work...just what position we usually take. If that's not what you were looking for do translate

Mmhmm i pretty much agree with you. Excuss me Blood Metal as i'm not in my normal debating mood like usual. But uh i was thinking of Merc's more of a nuetral power, playing neither side of the fence no real global ambitions besides just to make money and keep on moving. I also said "or in a merc-like group" as in if not a leader type of person someone who's actually in a group of merc's.

I made this thread in mind with just to see what people normally do besides what i like to do if i'm in some type of group. Like i said i would put more "uhmp" in my statement but i have something totally different on my mind right now.

As for my statement.

If I think that I will be the best for the job (and its open) Ill take command
If I think someone else is better for the job, Ill nominate them and follow them
If an idiot is put in charge, ill either attemp to kick them out or slack off cause i know there is no way in hell that they will do anything right.\
If im tired of being the leader, or listening to someone else, or trying to screw up an idiots plans, then ill procrastinate and waste time and take time to notice seemingly random things.

But more of what role i would play in a particular group either as leader or subordinate in a group of "grey area" warriors if world domination was to occur......Excuss me as i'm not being myself latly *sighs*

I'm usually the Slacker/Percrastinater/Supporter. Half of the time I don't know what someone's talking about so I just sit back and let them do all the work xD.
