Hmm, alright. Since i'm working on my portfolio, I need your opinions whether I should place these manga
pages as one piece of art. XD Since SVA has cartooning classes, and a major, Manga style art is actually acceptable. I draw them all at night, like at 11:00 and up >>;; Why? I dunno. 1 night each.

I'll be honest. Page 1 was SOOOO much more fun to draw, and much easier >>;;. Drawing the 2nd was a drag. Why? Cuz I struggled with alot of detail. I was going Paranoid.

So what do you think? Suitable for a portfolio? Or trash it and try again?

By the way: I'm too lazy to ink them >>;; and My scanner makes them look ugly.
So yeah it looks WAYY better in my sketch book.

Cats >>;; Cant draw those well. They come out either Chibi or no cat at all lol.

Me neither. My cats suck, and my chibies...well classifing them as a hurricane of goo is more like it....i suck at drawing unless i have SOME point of reference....tis the reason i marvel so at Krazy's ability and other's like her.

I cant draw by reference.
Like say there's a photo of a person. I'll take the clothes and the pose, but i always change the face into some form of my anime character.

If I dont have reference, then everything's free hand. Manga above is free hand.

Thats why i suck at portraits >>;; also I can never do boring art like a still-life. Why the heck would i wanna paint a bowl of fruit? You can see it right there!!
I'd probably paint faces and wacked out expressions on each fruit to make it interesting.

If you go into manga art, there is a contest that Tokyopop dose every year. You create your own manga and if it is the winner, it becomes published.

Oh, you mean the rising stars of manga? XD I would join, but not until after college. Since my style isn't refined yet.

Try some new things, draw different ways, you'll be suprized how good the pictures will probably be, and you'll never know if you would fail miserably unless you Try!
