I LOVE ED! No questions about it! Hes so cute and strong not to mention determained. I love everything about him! But dont get me wrong, Greed, Roy, and Hoenheim are all hot, but none of them have as much in comon with me then ED.

Reasons why I love Envy

1. I always love the evil people more than the good guys.
2. Long hair. I love anime/manga guys with long hair.
3. He is smart. He has lived over 400 years people! He has to br really smart.
4. I always love characters that are misunderstood.
5. He can beat up anyone he wants.
6. I find him cute.
7. He is funny in the manga.
8. Wears Black. One of my favorite colors.
9. His eyes are my favorite color, Purple!
10. Can change his shape. Envy can get so many things for you when he can change his shape.

Why do I love FMA?

That's a difficult question.

Not so much because I don't know why, but because there is so much to say and so little space to do so.

I had heard about it from my freinds (they were talking about when Hughes died). I listened carefully to each conversation they had about the anime. Each tiny detail I caught. I thought it was some anime about a war. A really big war. Where soliders in the stereotypical green suits marched into battle. Something like a Japanese G.I. Joe.

Boy was I wrong.

One fateful day on the internet, I once again talked with a RL freind, who inticed me to do a google on the show. I did so, and my life was shifted. Not changed quite yet. I looked about, picking up snippets of the show everywhere I could find them. Back then I thought: Envy was a girl, Ed died in the movie, Armstrong was crazy....

Boy was I once again, wrong.

I went home after a party and found my sister watching Inuyasha. Just as the show ended, and she was about to turn it off, I thought "This is the night I'm going to see FullMetal Alchemist.". "STOP. DON'T.TURN.IT.OFF." I shouted at her, and we sat around to watch the episode "Sin.". I took a five minute look at the animation, I uttered a few words of amazement under my breath.

I was swept away into a world of fantasy. Where you could make matter into something else, and something obscure was part of everyday life. I was sucked in from my first episode.

Soon, I found myself waiting the extra five minutes for the preview of the next episode, and buying myself an Edward keychain. I watched myself as I gasped at every plot twist, laughed at each one of Ed's rants (each funnier than the last), cried when something gut-wrenching happened, and hung on the edge of my seat until the very last ep.

Nine monthes later, I find myself recounting the Edwards in my room and I end up with around a hundred. I have bought around $1000 dollars in merchandise. I redesigned my room in red and black.

Ah, obsessions. But I think this one is for real.

FMA is love. End of story. :)

Wow, I'm an Idiot. XD; I misread the punctuation of the first post's last sentence.

SO!

Now I'm going to talk About why I love Edo.

Edward is such a complex and unique character. He's sweet, yet harsh. Smart, yet never looks twice. Tense, yet slack and laid back.

He cares about who he loves so much, that he would die for them. That's being said honestly. Who would honestly die for someone else? Not many people I know.

He won't take another's life, even if the attacker wants to take his. He's forgiving.


What's even better about him is that he ISN'T PERFECT.

All the characters in most other shows are perfect. You can rarely see the bad side of their lives. Edward has scars. Both visible and invisible. He has a terrible temper and is rather.....blunt. Rather, brutally honest.


...ok, I'll state the rather obvious.....he's hot. XD;

GAARA AND THATS IT

Ed = Hate. I hate Ed, annoying, abnoxious, doesn't use his intelligence when he needs to and is cliched. I mean who goes around calling people Old lady? Talk about rude. The way he talks, everything, its just annoying. The voice may seem mature, but what he says doesn't. I could rant on. but I wont. =_= one of the few who hate Ed.

Greed= I love Greed. He's cool, smart and is actually nicer than he appears. The anime botched him up like crazy by his crummy death, but In the manga, he's better. I love Greed.

Hughes = Do I need a reason?

Ling = So cute. XD Funny too, also he eats alot/

On and on and on. I like most of the characters except for...

Ed and Hohenheim, oh and I'm not a huge Envy Fan either.

I was so pissed at her. She was just using the Homunculei as her lapdogs and that just pissed me off more. I love the Homunculei. They're so creative. Never seen anything like them before.

Except that one time in Katamari when I rolled up a "Homunculus". That made me crack up.

Dante was just messed up. You know with the whole 'gaurdain of the human race thing'.

Krazy I'm actually suprised you don't hate Envy. He did kill Hughes, and stuff. But then again, he killed Ed too, so that probably balanced the whole possible hate thing.

I kinda think it is rather stupid to hate a character for killing another character. Sometimes the character had to die, (I explained how imporetent deaths are in the FMA series in some other topic) or they needed to add sorrow and drama, and etc.

For example, if Hughes DID live enough to tell Roy about the Homunculi, then the Homunculi would be after them too. Pride can easily say that Roy was planning to rebel against him (Roy talks to much about how much he wants to be Fuhrer) and they would all be shark bait. End of Story. Heck, Envy saved their lives in that point of view.

:nod: Envy Killed Ed, I would LOVE him for that. Too bad Ed didn't STAY dead. Also, i found it unlikely that Envy could beat Greed so easily. -____- I thought that was a fluke.

Well, at least we know who to blame the shortness of the series on, and all the rushed battles and stuff. *coughs*

I think the only way (I'm sorry, Envy! *cries*) for Envy to beat Greed is if he changed into his true form, and that is only in the Manga.

In the Anime, well, he can't really beat Greed head on, or one on one. The only way he can defeat Greed is if he tricked him somehow. Getting too close to his bones and weakening/freezing him, the array, or sealing him. That is most likely how Envy sealed him the first time.

Yeah, I see your point. Once again. I'm no longer a major/ kill you if you dis Ed fan girl, therefore I agree. I was just gonna say that I killed off Ed in one of ff stories, and flooding reviews came in on ff.net. At LEAST 3 were like "DIE DIE DIE!!! YOU ARE SO MEAN FOR KILLING MY EDO! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!?" I was kinda afraid...but now I'm laughing at them!

Umm...I'll keep it simple.

I love Mei Chan because she's positively adorable AND kicks butt.

I love Al because he's sweet and, at the right moments, completely badass. Anime kinda made him an idiot though >> And have him gray eyes and brown hair. Wrong. Al has golden eyes and golden hair.

And I love Greed and Hughes for very obvious reasons.

Wow. I admire that Krazy, your one of the few who hate Ed. LOL i find that funny. Soory I cant agree though. However I can see your reasons for loving Greed. He is a gentleman. I like that quality in a guy.

As to Dante...I think she is pretty cool....Just EVIL!! I dislike her for doing what she did to....Duh EVERYONE. I really would have liked to see Izumi kick her A$$!! that would be a good fight.

Claps for Faith! That would have been an AWSOME fight! Izumi vs. Dante....coolio!

Yeah they are both really good alchemists and Izumi's fighting skills are unparralleled XD.

i hate to say that dante would win because izumi has that internal bleeding because of the forbidden wE.Every time she fight she throws up blood.

I'll list who i hate first:

Wrath- stop complaining about your "mother". Izumi wanted to raise you and what did he do? Disregajurd her totally. He should shut up and let Envy kick him somemore.

Edward- I used to hate him because he always thought he could fix things and he always made them worser. Add to the fact that he is
barely ever around when Alphose need him, and the fact that he never stays dead shows my disllike for him. He did get out of my dog house for the ending but he is still tied down to it.

Yoki - you little snitch. Why did you rat out Scar? You deserved to die.

Tringham brothers - I might be just me but i find them both very annoying and i could did without them in the show.

Now to who i like from Full Metal Alchemist:

Gluttony - My favorite Homunculus and one of my favorite characters. Poor Gluttony why did they take his Lust.....Besides Gluttony was stronger and more agile than what he looked.

Armstrong - Do i really need a explaination. The guy can do everything. Plus he has muscles and everything has been virtually passed down the armstrong family for generations *throws of shirt and fles*

Hughes - Who dosn't love and good father and kind and careing person that helps everyone.

Marta - I like Marta alot. She is loyal and very strong. Not to mention she cares about the two boys and wanted Reveng.

Okay i had to extend my list of hate a little bit. These two Characters is teeter-tottering on the edge of alright and disliked.


Dante - i dislike her because of what happened to poor Gluttony. But on the other hand i find her character intrigueing.

Flame Alchemist Roy Mustang - I don't know why i dislike him so much. But i dislike him alot. He's on the edge because i don't know exactly why i dislike him.....maybe because he didn't get good enough Reveng for Hughes because he almost blew it and it was only by luck he won.
