Title: History Fanclub
Description: It's educational!

Michiko - July 12, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
^^ Ghost and I were talking... and the subject of one of the more fascinating characters came up: Hitler.

Of course, there's a lot of things in the course of history - like the elephants crossing the Himalayas to take over Rome, or Magellan (love that name) Elizabeth 1, the Meiji Era of Japan, the Celts... Really.

How can history be boring, when it in itself is the most fascinating and complex story of all time?

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 09:20 PM (GMT)
 So true.. xD what club will we think of next?? xD

xD >> just so happens I read "The Tragedy of Julius Ceaser" Last year..Rome is cool xD! >> Cassius owns.

>>
<<
"Young Cassius has a lean and hungry look..such men are dangerous" xD wee~

And within the writing itself is the European history, since Shakespear was writing it for the king who was fearing assasination..Shakespear wrote it in the perspective assasination is wrong..even with the best intentions..

=O which leads me to Ion Malcoms quote (at least im almost sure its his)

"The road to hell is pathed with good intentions" (I love this quote XD )

Michiko - July 12, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
Oo I collect quotes.. that's one of my faves...

^^; I didn't know you were another fan of Shakespeare... we're about to do another 'Shakespeare in the Park', where we just go and read it... in the evening... on a stage in a park... It's often funny.

"What manner of man are you?"
"I am... James T. Kirk, commander of the Starship Enterprise!" (he then went on to do the rest of the act in a perfect impression of William Shatner....)

Ever read Richard III?

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
no, I'm not really a fan of it..I just never forget what I read..or at least I never forget anything that catches my intrest XD ( Grammar/spelling is not one of them, as you can probably tell xD)

I actually literally HATED Romeo and Juliet..it isn't all they say it is in my opinion..its somewhat stupid..XD but thats just probably b/c i didnt understand it, and did badly on the tests..as for Julius Ceaser I aced, b/c it ruled XD ( funny, our english teacher told us it would be boring..XD)

=O But for some reason this is making edgar allan poe pop into my head...He scares me I have read 2 things of his..one I liked somwhat, yet didnt understand..and the other I just didnt understand..

But I actually just bought hamlet and Macbeth..I'll probably wind up reading them out of curiousity (i bought them for just in case purpouses for next year )

Michiko - July 12, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
Ohhhh... MacBeth.... Never say that in a theatre. You'll make us all flinch. ^^ It's a good one, though.

Romeo and Juliet was dumb. Read Tempest and Midsummer Night's Dream. Hamlet's also one of my favorites, but perhaps that's because I've seen some good (and some hilarious) renditions of it. Some of Shakespeare's stuff isn't that great, and he takes a lot from the Greek tragedies.

I also love Beowulf... at least some of the translations. Some are just dumb. Gilgamesh's good too... so's the Oddessy...

Right, shutting up now.

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 09:47 PM (GMT)
=O omg the odyessy pwns. I read the short version though.. we started when he meets the cyclops *should probably get the full book*

>> I loved that story, but then again I die for Greek Mythology anyway xD 5th grade was heaven when we were given the packets..XD w00t

I'll probably wind up collecting stuff like that, wasn't there a book for the battle of Troy? XD btw I saw that movie and its good..

Michiko - July 12, 2006 09:48 PM (GMT)
Ah, yes... What's interesting is to read that account from both sides. You have completely different sets of heroes.

>> Mythology fanclub... maybe there should be a 'fanclub fanclub' just to confuse people. ^^

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 09:57 PM (GMT)
xD yes..>> We are the FanClub makers XD!

>> after the Fanclub Fanclub we have to make a Fanclub maker Fanclub .. Then maybe a Science fanclub.. Not math, cuz its evil.. XD Shakespear fanclub.. when we are done with all of this.. people are gonna be like o_o

XD lets just make it an all-in one.. Michiko-Ghost's Fanclub..Randomness all under one topic.. or somthing..but making a lot of clubs is fun, I feel more social..lmao..

>> Monopoly fanclub, for that game pwns. xD
*can think of hundreds*

Inari - July 12, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
MIdsummer night's dream= evil. I hated that, found it so boring lol. Then again, other then some parts of Julius Ceaser.... I'm not a fan of Shakespeare. And talking about the oddysey, if I had a choice, even thought they lost, I would be on the Trojan side. Less whiney and more noble then the wimpy, wussy greeks.

Michiko - July 12, 2006 10:01 PM (GMT)
YES! ^__^ I love science... biology, chemistry, physics, alchemy (kidding) and Monopoly's one of my favorite games. Math sucks, except geometry - that was fun.

Yay... another person to bounce off of. I remember in one place I was in the Jaina-and-Spike board, something made to keep me and another person from spamming everyone else's threads. It almost worked, too. ^^;

I like that idea. ^^

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
xD ok, want me to make teh club? XD

>> yes, it almost works..it keeps most of it, but some people post things in other places that are irrisistable to reply to XD >> *use to be a pure chatter box / random person / spazzy * >> its still gets out every now and then.. xD

Its hard to find people to play monopoly, people are impatient and dont like to sit and play.. it owns. xD "sorry!" is a good game too..

Hey btw have you ever played the card game Canasta? (sp?) xD its cool, I love it.

Michiko - July 12, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
No.... and never play me at Sorry!; I'll win. ^^ Same with Checkers, although Chess... enh. I'm not great.

What's Canasta? Oh, and if you'd go ahead and make it, that'd rock... XD - this is fun.

xGhostx - July 12, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
XD >> I'm usually pretty Cruel at Sorry XD tis the game of sweet revenge..

checkers im not so good at, but apparantly I'm good at Chess..XD *beat BM quite a few times* >>"

Canasta is a card game where you are dealt 13 cards, and try to get the same suits with 7 of a kind ( two decks required).. 2's and jokers are wild..XD its a lot to explain, but basically its pretty fun

XD and yes this is very fun..I shall go make the club XD

Michiko - July 12, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
Hahaha, we should verse...

gotta go... be back. ^^;
