Can Ed's arm malfunction I mean like if he would get into would it zap and shoot out electricity like robots in regular carttons?

I didn't think that his automail had actual electricity running through it, but it might be able to do that.

oh I was just thought of that question not to long ago when I first saw the series. It looks like a robot arm so I just thought it would malfunction
