You can also suggest modifications to the suggestion you like.


Progress on RP updating:

1. Planning and suggesting updates
2. Decide which update we would use (Poll, anyone?)

2.5. Final planning
3. Write documentation and help files. (15-20th)
4. Do things that won't change the rest of the forum.
5. Make any items, classes, etc.

6. Try out the changes
7. Get feedback
8. Call the updates finished and have fun RPing the new way.

Yeah i agree with Mustang and my subordinate all the idea's is really good and make lots of sense.It's hard to just pick one.

Now what is the final plan of how RPv2 works? Anyone can suggest changes over the next 5 days the changes before the ideas are finalized and the Documentation Team starts writing documentation/help.


Also, tomorrow is the last day you can register characters using RPv1.2. After tomorrow the signups are closed, but the existing characters can get approved.

Do people actually register their abilities? I'm considering removing the Ability Registration/Information since nobody used it.

Why don't you go with the ranks the Teach had made? They were pretty good in my opinion but Krazy's idea is good also. And what exact plan are we using. I know each of us got 4 votes each. Will it be combined or what?

The item-as-rank idea has been canceled since each person would have multiple items for each characters and it will be confused.

Also the Class thing has been canceled, but there are new classes coming to replace existing ones! Again, its because of the multiple character issue

Also, I have a suggestion.. Its more or less to keep the quality of the state alchemist characters higher..

On another forum I am on, They must literally take a "State alchemist exam" that conists of a 500 word essay of why they should be one* And then do a demonstration. This is a "Sticky" Thread that is held in Central and is a roleplay. The second half is the Demonstration and the final half is the Awarding. The Fuhrer or General or just a Mod could be the judge of this.

But, this would also mean not allowing people to start off as a State alchemist, maybe just a militant..but of course it could quickly be changed.

Also, Using blood metals idea of Ranking in classes..and Krazy's Ranks idea

(ex.

20 posts =Apprentice
200 posts= Mechanic
600 posts = Mechanic Master )

To make it work for people with multiple characters, I have an idea for a system.

For each class, The ratio of posts per climbing is set by what is deemed acurate.

Mechanics.
100 posts = apprentice
300 posts = Mechanic
500 posts = Mechanic Master

The reason for the increase is b/c there are not many ranks among the mechanics.

State Alchemists

Private - 25 posts
Seargeant - 75 posts
Warrent Officer - 125 posts
Second Lieutenant - 175 posts
First Lieutenant - 250 posts
Major - 325 posts
Lieutenant Colonel - 375 posts
Colonel - 450 posts
Brigadier General -550 posts
Secretary - This rank does not apply, you can stay this rank forever or apply for Fuhrer's after 400 posts.

Vice General - 675 posts, or elected after 550 posts.
General - 750 posts OR minimal of 675 and election
Fuhrer's Secretary - 400 posts and application approved
RP Fuhrer - Minimal 675 posts and election.


Heretics

New Recruit - 10 posts
Thief - 50 posts
Spy/Gaurdian/Warrior -125 posts
Treasure hunter - 175 posts
Vigilante - 250 posts
Wanderer -300 posts
Heretic WarGod - 400 posts
Heretic Lord - Minimal 400 posts and selected by Edlers
Heretic Elder - 500 posts and Elected (by other elders, war gods and lords )

Since we cant possibly determine this for every character by how many posts the character themself make, This is where the system comes in.

Lets say you had two Characters.

- Bob the Alchemist
- Bill the Mechanic

Lets say over all you have posted 300 posts, Bob is a private and Bill is still an apprentice.

this 300 posts is like a token account, So. it Costs 75 tokens to make Bob a Seargent and it takes 300 tokens for Bill to be a mechanic.

Lets say you chose to make Bob the Seargent, he has worked hard in his roleplays right? lets give Bob a break.

Account: 300 tokens,
Withdrawn: 75
Left over: 225
Use of Tokens: Make Bob a Seargent.

You post this in a topic ( sticky maybe?) And a mod comes and approves. Of course the individual should keep up with their own numbers but the Mods could do that too.

Next time. Your post count is 400.

Account: 325
Withdraw: 300
Left over: 25
Use of Tokens: Make Bill a Mechanic

I think, Sozona-san, that we could still use the item thing, for one reason.

Within the groups, the users thmselves have ranks, no? We have, so far, (within the military - it should actually be 'State Military', that is) a Fuhrer, a General, and a Lt. General - first, second and third in command. (Ghost, Dark General (sir) and, uh, me.) That's how we could do this. In wars, even, perhaps that should be handled with a character based off the OOC persona... wait. I'd be an alchemist chimera, then. >> Anyways, that's my suggestion. Read or ignore, I just thought I'd throw it out there and hope it makes sense.

And I like the exams bit, although maybe seeing as no one reads it, we might alter history a bit. >> What it currently looks like, and I've used, is that most every alchemist is snapped up by the military in order to pave way for a lack of resistance when they make a move to take over again. >>

Although it isn't directly RP based, State Alchemists should have rank items.

Question: should it remain the SA? Or merely the military? We have some non-alchemists in there... and in the series, both actually, the proportion of alchemists to other was about 1:10... minimum.

I like Ghost's idea a lot. ^^

I support Bob and Bill , though I don't like the idea on changing the RP history...besides which I do read it. Changing enough that it fits mustangs character...also giving more detail into the war..great. But the State is more cunning than that, they won't pull a mandatory draft, they'll want alchemists who believe in the cause they're fighting for, not possible heretic betrayers.

Also the idea of the military with the current Fuhrer, General, and Lt.General doesn't seem to fit for me...unless you'd somehow like to do a status review and see who the best S.A. Roleplayers are and give them the top 3 positions as they would deserve it the most..if it turns out to be Ghost Michiko and DG great, but I'd like to test that theory.

As far as giving the Character based off the person with the rank for wars that title...solid, but obviously changes must be allowed to be made, I get bored with characters easily, and one based off myself lacks creativity...but that's just coming from me. These characters also would have to have special regulations on dying, weaknesses, who their subordinates are(if any) And what their rank entitles them to.

Like blood metal, I support the Bob and Bill idea, but changing the history is a big NO NO. I rather like the history we have right now, and if we make a new history then many things will be changed and deleted. And, like blood metal said, the State is alot smarter than that, and need some sort of reason for a draft to be pulled off.

We can keep the history, but I do think it needs to be modified slightly.. I don't think Mustang would ever re-instate the stones..ever..

I thought LS said all you had to do was resize them to fit... I've seen it done on another site........Maybe take out some of the box level things for the military and put the Rank tag in there instead.... Like where my advanced member title is the rank tag in there instead.

I agree that the history should stay - after all, there are SO many plot hooks in there. I for one love it. And Sozona-sama, with all due respects, the buttons can be done - seeing as there are OOC ranks as well as IC ranks. I would be Lt. General, DG would be General, Ghost would be fuhrer, you'd just be Admin...

Also, I disapprove HIGHLY with the OOC ranks and IC ranks to intermingle... its two different worlds. And if you look at it, it would make things more chaotic. Not only that but it would be highly unfair to other members. Especially since the big cheese will ALWAYS be those who are loyal to Ghost, which isn't fair to new members and those who aren't part of the state. I say that the higher ups should just be NPC figures that don't really participate in RP's but mods should keep an eye on them. That way the scale wont fall completely off balance.

Such as Heretic Lords in the Heretics and Generals in the military.

I agree. the Rp board on this site and the Forum team ranks should not mix. In the Forum teams the Rp is completly seperate the only thing they have should have in common is the characters used. And the Forum teams will have they own in house Rp topic(s).

Also with the different IC and OCC ranks , the IC ones should be challengable. For me that;s the only point of having ranks at all , rebellions and wars. Or atleast have to challenge someone to hold an NPC character.

Example: (Seeing as you have all the Heretic Lords, krazy)

I challenge you for the position " Lord of the Mecha Faction". Whih would follow in a duel between either the reigning (if any, which again is likely) Heretic Lord of that faction or a Heretic Lord of a different Faction.

I don't know if I'm even making sense or if this is complete bull.

I also have a problem with going by post count...posts should atleast be regulated, a minimum of 5 or so lines required...any newbie can post one liners and get token upon token.

Tis true, it might be unfair for me to own all the Heretic lords, -_____-;; But I did boost up the Heretics. I mean in the story they were just... inteference really.
