Lol, to be honest I have to agree about some of the things they said. But I do feel partly responsible, being an admin here and considering all those times I was inactive and etc, etc.
Oh well, who cares- sure, they may not like these forums, but most of us here do, and we're hopefully having a good time here. So I guess that's what matters. ;)

Your number of members is high, no doubt. Though, I think with the amount of posts you have, it's not all impressive. I suggest you go to the ACP settings and re-count your posts and members. Your current numbers don't quite add up. I digress, I am indeed impressed with your member count, but not a lot of them seem to be active. The posts made seem to wander around a couple of forums. Such as General Discussion. Which, on a themed board, is not that good. However, it was sort of canceled out when I saw the amount of posts in the "Episode Discussion" I was impressed that a good number of posts came from there.
Your staff is...not impressive. One or two staff members are heavily inactive. As much as over a week. I think it's time to demote and...Demote. You have 6 administrators. Compare that (sadly) to the SZ. They have much more members and posts and no more than 3 active administrators. There's no reason for that big amount of them. Your moderators seem to be plentiful as well. You should promote one or two to global moderators especially the one taking the heavier loads. Such as "Krazydog" and/or one other one. They don't seem to be very active and helping on moderating actions much, sadly.
The appearance.... wow. The skin is...bad, sad to say. I'm not a professional, but the MT and borders are bad. I also don't like the fact of the guy hanging in the background of the skin. It just doesn't fit. I don't think the color scheme doesn't work well. Light is good, but picking your colors is important. I'm sure you know the folders are hideous, the buttons are mis-matched, and the posting buttons are mostly default. They need tons of work. Your banner is good but doesn't fit due to the skin being overblown in size.
The originality of the forum is not bad. I don't see too many FMA themed boards around. However, it's still not very popular in my eyes. I would never advise someone to make an FMA board, as they are not the biggest series ever, I should say. Not much else to say. Unsure.gif
The layout, I can't say much on as they are very...unique in names. I'd get lost just looking for the general area of the forum. Thanks God for descriptions. Anyway, I'd say rethink some of the titles and re-organize some things. The services or discussion exclusively about FMA should come last and the general things first. I can't point much out in examples as my head is spinning from the category titles...thanks for getting a review at AZ. |

Also, the skin doesnt matter as it will get reset when zB comes out (ZetaBoards, not zBulletin :P)

I dont think it needs changing at all, just more active members, and i really dont think changing the appearance will solve that. I think this forum is great! One of the best out there. They reviewed it based on a rubric of forums, but they dont even like FMA anyway. I think its fine and should stay the way is, but thats just my opinion..
