Title: Mary a virgin?
Edward the full metal alchemist - March 12, 2006 02:34 AM (GMT)
I just dont see how? Mary had baby Jesus. w/o ? God just poped his DNA in her? I would call it but mary agreed to the angell.. I think. not sure on how that story goes. Either the angel just TOLD her or it asked her... either way, then how is it possible? Mircle? ha!

Several possibilities, in order of plausibility:
1. Jesus was conceived before marriage, so Mary claimed to be a virgin to avoid being stoned for adultery.
2. Mistranslation of the word "young."
3. The subjective nature of the communally perceived reality generated a leyline upon the celestially substantial anniversary of a signifigant event in human history.
4. The Christians (and Muslims?) are right, and Jesus was conceived by God.

Mary also had 6 other male children, and an a un-numbered amount of the fairer sex as kids.

How would you know this?..Ive also heard that the Da vinci code has alot of wrong facts in their that arent true , >> lol .. also he was probably born in april, they moved his birthday/celebration to december to counter the pagan winter solstice..

I understand that they wanted it to gain popularity quick, so they had it at the same time as the Roman festival of Saturn. The exact middle of the weeklong festival, to be specific.

yea the da vinci cod has lots of things in it that are false. this is just something that I've alwasy wonderd about.
I Really doubt she was a virgin
Also. (random) Jesus would have some of Marry's FDNA and some of god's right? So by the pitures of Jesus, There is looks, that god slightly looks like, right?

You honestly think that there are pictures of Jesus made by artists who had actually seen Jesus?
xGhostx - March 18, 2006 02:17 PM (GMT)
Actually,...we were made in the likeness of god, ed, so technically we all resemble him but I highly doubt their is a actual painting or somthing of him..

While we are on the topic of what Jesus looks like, Id like to say that he wasen't white, and did not have brown hair. Jesus was Semetic with Black hair. European (Roman) artists just wanted to make him more appealing. Also, Mary having more children then Jesus is in the Bible, not the Da Vinci Code.
Also, god doesent have DNA, since he isnt an organic creature, and technicly not living.
