Appearance
She really is quite the beauty, even if she is a little fox. The virus not only affected wolves but all creatures with a canine heritage, and the foxes were no exception. The virus didn’t affect them as gravely as it did the wolves though. Gypsay and her sisters and mother remained relatively normal colorings for foxes, but they still changed colors.
The little fox mutt should have a been a blur or reds, cinnamons, gold’s and blacks, but instead her fur took up two major colors. Her fur is mostly a dull gold color that shines quite vibrantly in the light. The other color is black which covers her paws and legs, her ears, and around her eyes, and the tip of her tail which is black. Her eyes which are surrounded by black are a strange blue color.
The reason for the blue is her inherent bad eye sight. She can still see, relatively well up close especially, but far away is blurry and hard to read. But her sense of smell and hearing are far more impeccable than either of her sisters who have dark black eyes like most foxes. Overall she is quite the radiant beauty, slender, whippy and incredibly fluffy.
personality
This clever little princess is quite the trickster. Her constant love of games and pranks often gets her in troubles, but she can’t seem to stop. Her mother was a sort of wanderer, a lone fox and a temptress of sorts. Though, her mother only had eyes for one man, her nature for being a wind blown soul kept her traveling, and so when she did get pregnant with her daughters, her mate was disheartened by her always wanting to wander and run off.
Enough about him. More about Gypsay, the prime example as to why children should be taught manners. Gypsay is quite the lady, foxy (in the sense of the word) taunting and intoxicating. her very presence can put many people on…she just has that way. But, like I said, her constant love for affection, games and jokes often makes her not get along with others. Some don’t like constant energy and prefer a sit down conversation. Not Gypsay, she seems to have a never ending supply of energy that help maintain her exuberant attitude.
History
Gypsay does not prefer to talk about her past. She does like stories, but good ones, and she finds her own tale incredibly droll.
Her parents met a long while ago, during the virus attack. Though her father would deny it if she knew him, he loved her mother very much and wanted to settle down with her, start a family and never move from one spot again. He was so crazy in love with her that he left his entire life and brothers and family just to chase after her on her wayward adventures. Of course, Velure loved her mate very much, but after one final night of chasing her from town to town, he snapped. Wanting her to settle down and stop chasing the wind, he lost control and well…her mother never told her daughters the rest. In fact, she never even told them their true father’s name. Velure never even informed him she was pregnant.
Because of this tale, Gypsay is incredibly wary of men. Sure, she enjoys affection and romance, but she fears…one of her small flaws.
And so Velrue traveled alone during pregnancy, and gave birth mid spring under the protection of a trees roots. The tree became her temporary home, and when the three sisters could walk on their own, they were off, wandering and exploring with their mother. It was amazing none of them were carried off by eagle, or preyed upon by wolves; for the pups were quite small. But, Velure was used to the evils of the wild, having never stayed in one place too long.
Velure taught her daughters much about life and its hardships, about the world and how to survive in it. In short, she taught all three of her daughters to be rather independent…if not ask the help of the friendly family spirit animal. Yes, Velure and her mother and father and her own siblings had shared a family spirit animal. Munk visited the family often and became very fond of Gypsay, who became very fond of him. they do not speak much but when they do it is very indepth.
Anyway, Gypsay, the golden, blue eyed beauty had a harder life growing up. Having inherited her fathers horrible eye sight, her eyes remained the pup blue never changing to her sisters normal color of black. Her horrible eye sight made it harder to hunt, to live and to travel, but she was a fast learner and hated the teasing she received about being different. Her pain of being teased as a youngling may be another reason she is so quick and sharp and closed to others when she first meets them, afraid of the repercussions of her strange blue, half blind eyes.
At the age of 11 months, the fully grown fox girl of course wandered off one day, destined to wander forever, with friends or without them, content whenever her feet were moving, and ravenous when pent up or stuck.
