Title: Early To Rise
Description: Open
Wagner - May 9, 2008 02:14 AM (GMT)
Early to rise, late to sleep. That was Wagner’s everyday living. At the crack of dawn he woke to slow moving life. And well after midnight he finally laid his head down to sleep when the rest of the world was already under its deep spell. It was how he always functioned day after day. And while one might think it would wear someone down, it never made him tired. He enjoyed doing this because he often saw what others didn’t see—the changing and growing world. He loved to hear the quiet in the early morning before the bird slowly got up. They were always the first animals to move, besides him, and they usually got every other creature up when they began to sing. Yes, there voices where so beautiful and it always encouraged a song in his heart.
A bird sleeps with its head under its wings. That was something he noticed about them when he spent the early morning to watch them. When it awakes, it pulls its bill from under its wings and looked around, stretching one leg and a wing in a full length. The bird does the same with its other leg and wing. Sending it head into his wings for a short self groom it stretches it wing and legs before taking off to fulfill its task for the day. Wagner liked how the birds took their time and soon followed their way of waking up. Like the birds he stretched his legs to a full length, slowly moving each on. He then stretched his entire body letting out a big yawn exposing each of his teeth.
Wagner was already on the move as the sun was pecking over the horizon. It was a beautiful sight to see. All the reds, oranges, and yellows made it look as if the sun was exciting the sky. As the birds slowly flew by, natural was just waking up. Life was coming to itself once more. The only other interest time of day was the sun set. That was a true work of art.
Wagner woke up in a beautiful wildflower meadow and he was covered by an assortment of tall and short grass. While his pelt was a bright colored blue, it looked as if he was hiding. It appeared that way because he moved very slow as he got himself together. It was the first time he woke here after spending a long day yesterday finding his way here. He didn’t know where he was but this day he intended to find out. As Wagner got himself up he slowly made his way over to the river to get a drink of water before starting on his day. He had come across it before but because it was so he knew where to head.
As he got near the river, he bowed his head to drink, his teeth slightly touching the water and his long ears lay gently on the back of his head. Yes, the water was very refreshing and it wetted his dry throat. Satisfied he looked up to they skies, it was still very much early, and half of the night still cover the sky. But that meant he would find something to do today. His day however, was to include exploring. New land meant new adventure. Of course, he didn’t know what to expect. But he felt it would be something good.

There was a faint splash. A lightly built dog was standing downwind of him, frozen with one white-stockinged paw in the water, his head raised as he stared at the wolf he'd just noticed. Slowly he lifted the paw again and placed it back on the bank, and made no other movement. His ears, folded thinly in the way of dogs, lay flat against his skull. White marked his neck and nose and legs, the pale fur there dirtied by time and travel, but the most of him was grey - soft and dusty, like ash or undercoat or a stone in the sun.

Wagner felt himself drift off looking into the far distance. It seems the skies have taken over his mind. He was lost in the sun and unfortunately he was not paying attention to his surroundings. Usually he observed his position with whoever, and whatever was near him. But because he often daydreamed, he could easily be mistaken as the type to not know what was going on.
For a while he sat there until he felt a twitch in his ear. Again it twitched before the both shot up straight. By then he was at attention as he stood up and turned toward the river. He heard another wolf coming his direction, which was sort of bad considering the size of his rabbit like ears. You would think he had good hearing to begin with.
He noticed the mostly gray wolf standing on the back looking at him. At first Wagner didn’t know what to make of the wolf. He hadn’t really come in contract with another in a while. And for a while, Wagner made no response to the wolf presents. But after laying down his big ears, he nodded but greeting the wolf. “Hello, haven’t seen anther around here in a while.”

OOC: He's a dog =) not a wolf
BIC: The dog blinked at Wagner, vaguely surprised by his greeting - by the time it had arrived he'd almost stopped expecting it. His ears flicked up, and as if released from a spell he stepped forward and around to face the stranger, his narrow paws splashing in the stream. A moment to gather his thoughts, and then he replied, raising his voice a little so the other could hear him from where he stood.
"Hello, neither have we! Do you find the lands good here, stranger?"

(Sorry, my fault.)
"Hello, neither have we! Do you find the lands good here, stranger?"
Ah, the wolf responded. However, after looking at him a bit more, he saw not a wolf, but a dog. Well, he hasn’t came across many of them before. For a moment, Wagner didn’t think the dog would answer. In fact, he looked like he didn’t expect him to. But as usual, Wagner gave his greetings. It was to make himself known, at the same time to establish the though of Wagner not being a threat. In his mind, if he spoke, other wolves would have to need to worry. Also, how he spoke played a role. Usually, if he was to talk, others would not need to have a watchful eye on him. Besides that, he didn’t appear like the type to cause trouble. At least he believed. But really, who could he scare with blue fur.
Sitting on his hind legs with his tail wrapped around his legs Wagner answered the dog. “The land is…well…beautiful. I have no complaints of my small explorations. But I don’t know much because I just arrived here.” With what he just said, Wagner provided enough information to the dog before him. He didn’t know who this dog was but couldn’t sense danger from him. Besides, if there was, he didn’t provide much other than he’s a loner, and a newcomer. His name was left blank. Besides that, he had explored much more than he lead him to believe. However, he should really be careful. This dog had enough, counting his appearance.
Now he was thinking to hard. True, he was a victim of such. For now he would relax, as he had appeared before the dog. What would he have to say next.

((no worries ^_^))
"Ah." A brief moment to think, and then "Us also. I've seen signs of other wolves, but ..." he trailed off, the end of his sentance unnecessary. They hadn't actually met anybody. His eyes ran over the fellow newcomer, sharply assessing him, as much as it was possible to. There was an edge of waryness to his manner, and though it would have been easier to talk if he walked closer, he stayed where he was and watched. "We keep hoping, " he added finally, just as a big grey shape reared up from the grass a short distance away. This time it was a wolf who was getting to her feet and shaking herself, making a cloud of dust rise from the dark dullness of her coat.

"Ah. Us also. I've seen signs of other wolves, but ..."
Once the dog said that, Wagner expression changed a bit. He was a little less relaxed and the smile that was on his muzzle disappeared into a blank stare on his face. The dog had referred to an us, meaning that there was more than one here. Right away, Wagner started to beat himself up inside. How could he not have known that there was more than one being here? He should have been more careful of his surroundings instead of being so relaxed. At that moment, his defensives short up. Should this hound plan to do any harm, he’d be prepared. Closely he watched the dog’s movement. Yet there was a small curiosity in his mind. Who else was here with this dog?
"We keep hoping."
Next, he noticed another figure rise from grass with a cloud of dust. Now it made sense. That was a wolf behind him, which meant that dogs was the wolf’s help, or as he has heard them be referred to, spirit animal. Wagner should have known the moment he came in contract with him. “So, may I ask who are you two?”

The instant Wagner's smile disappeared and he tensed up, the dog tensed also. There was a little rattle as he took a few sideways steps on the stones and his head lowered, his expression sharpening.
"Just wanderers, like you, I think." The dog replied tightly.
"Hey!" It was the grey wolf who was speaking, as she walked slowly toward the dog. "Are we wowing the locals?" Her voice was louder than his, casual and fairly unworried sounding, but her body language was less relaxed. She was a pretty hulking animal, around the same size as Wagner. The extra legs that hung in front of her back legs were mostly hidden in the grass, so the most obvious signs that she too had the virus were the wee little white horns that grew on her face - a few on her muzzle, and one between her eyes. No larger than teeth - because, of course, they were teeth. Her eyes widened a little as she took in Wagner's blueness and his long ears "...whoa." she murmured, just quietly.

When the female wolf rose from the ground, Wagner’s eyes widened. She too, had the virus sadly. She appeared the same size as he was, and he knew he was pretty large. With the horns growing from her face and muzzle, suddenly, Wagner wasn’t ashamed of his big ears. But while she looked as the way she did, he was sure she looked at him the same way. All he could see were horns, other than that, she was pretty normal. As for him, well, the same could not have been said. The first thing he could feel her talk about would be the cerulean blue pelt and large ears. Not to mention his saber tooth tiger teeth. To bad it wasn’t shedding season for them.
Watching her eyes widened Wagner relaxed himself. She seemed amazed at his features. They were nothing great for Wagner, but he knew he was one of the bad cases. Well, why not take time to chat with her. “I can tell you my cerulean blue pelt is odd. Not to mention my large rabbit ears…”as he said so he raised them up high and let tip of his left wave hi to the female, possibly to show he reflexives and the sensitive off them. “ And lastly, my huge teeth, but I’m sure you are use to seeing this…right?”

"No!" The wolf squeaked and then broke into a short startled giggle at the movement of his ears. It made the dog look around at her suddenly in surprise, his ears pricking. If he'd been as amazed as his companion at Wagner's appearence, he certainly wasn't showing it - though both had been taken aback by the blue wolf's words. The grey wolf took a few steps closer, turning to face him directly and in the process displaying a third eye closed tight and nestled in her fur just below the left of the open grey eyes that observed him. "No, not at all," she said in her normal voice.
"All plainers and coloured where we're from." added the dog from beside her flank.
The wolf again, with a frown. "Cerulean?"

Wagner smiled and continued to observe the female. At least she giggled at his ears, as he was intending for her do. But now they hung from his head as if they were lazy and tired of sitting up. What he now noticed about the female was the ears under her left one. It did open and look at him, so he assumed it was a useless body part that she will never use. For now, Wagner acted as if he didn’t see it or pretended it was a scar. He didn’t want the female to get uncomfortable with him. He was here for peace, not war.
So the female had never seen someone as bad as him before. Interesting. However, Wagner did go assuming she was sheltered. And it seems she didn’t know what the color cerulean was. He’d take the time to explain it. “Cerulean is a type of blue color. My mother shared with me that there is more than one type of blue, and thus, I had this color. I don’t know how she knows, but she just does. But I guess it bends well with the white markings I have.”

The dog and the wolf glanced at each other for a moment and then looked back at Wagner. The dog's head was cocked a little to the side. "It more stands out against it, actually..." he pointed out tentatively. The pair stepped out together as if by some unheard signal, walking together down the river toward the cerulean wolf. The wolf's extra legs waved limply in the air above the water with the movement of her steps. The two stopped a short distance from him. The wolf peeled her lips back, baring her teeth at him briefly though the rest of her body language was fairly non-aggressive. She had ... a lot of teeth. There were barely any gums to be seen with the layers and layers of teeth all pushed forth on top of each other, bristling from everywhere in her mouth and glistening with saliva. Then she closed her mouth and hid it all again. "I've got the teeth, too" she commented helpfully. "And I'm a unicorn of course."
"She's a unicorn." The dog intoned solomnly.
