Kairi - May 3, 2008 12:31 AM (GMT)
OOC Name: Valentine
Character Name: Kairi
Age: Over Three
Gender: Vixen
Spirit Animal: Yellow Throated Martin http://www.kostich.com/martinthumb.jpg
Appearance:
Kairi is a very fluffy wolf, but not big. She’s average size, maybe slightly smaller. She is very quick on her feet, but she is clumsy as an elephant and can trip over thin air. She is fairly strong. She is very fit and has a very attractive look to her, except when she’s wet, she looks like a hairball with all her fluff.

Her main color is a very light purple. There is also some white here and there as well as shades of lavender. She has shades of pink also, mostly around her neck, muzzle, and eyes. Her ears are solid light pink. Around her eyes is a shade of dark lavender. Her legs sport the same shade in socks, and purple-red mottles adorn her legs. She has a white stripe near her ankle on her front right paw. The tip of her tail is the same pink as her ears. Her eyes are a very dark violet. Around her front right paw there is a bracelet of silver, with a small diamond pendant.
Personality:

Kairi is extremely light at heart. She refuses to hurt anyone unless it is absolutely dire that she does. Kairi is usually kind and caring. She is mostly gentle and fairly patient. Kairi is always willing to comfort or help someone, no matter who they are, though she prefers to keep her distance from dark-hearted creatures..

Kairi is quick to make friends, often introducing herself to strangers, a bad habit she is trying to work on. Kairi's worst weakness is her innocence and naiveté. She will believe almost anything that is thrown at her, causing her to end up in bad situations. She is too trusting, and it shows immensely.

Although Kairi is naive, she isn't stupid, she in fact wise in her own way. She knows how to handle things and knows what to say at the right time...well, in some situations. She will often have a solution to a problem, and if she doesn't, she'll think hard about it until she does. She doesn't just jump head first into important decisions. She just needs to transfer her wisdom over to the trusting side of her brain, and become slightly more cautious.

Kairi is brave and loyal, not one to back down if someone is in trouble. She doesn't like to fight at all and will suffer injuries before attacking someone for no reason. She will defend her loves ones, though. She is sort of afraid of fighting, though she wouldn't admit it.

Kairi is brave, yes, but there are some things that horrify her. The sight of a death is terrible to her, causing her to freeze. The sight of any blood at all does the same thing. Kairi is terrified of the dark beyond what anyone would think possible. She shivers, and tries not to cry when alone in the dark. She is constantly jumping and flinching, running, trying to escape it, and she wouldn't be able to fight or think straight if she were caught alone at night. Kairi also has a slight fear of fire, but not near as much as blood or dark.

One thing about her that tends to aggravate, is that she is often in the way, and gets into things that are really none of her business. Even if she is trying to help, it would often be better if she just left herself out of it, but she can't. She has a need to be right in things, and help solve the problem. She doesn't catch on very quickly, so doesn't notice she's in the way until others are already angry with her.

Sometimes, when she wants something, good intention, or not, she tends to drive until she gets it, sometimes not realizing she may be hurting people in the process. She always apologizes, though, and she tries her best to fix her flaws.

One last thing, that isn't so much aggravating as actually hurtful, is that though she is understanding in most situations, she sometimes has hard time seeing the other side of things. If she doesn't understanding something when comparing it to her values, and what she thinks is right, she can sometimes offend and say things she doesn't mean. She tries to be open and understanding, but sometimes her mind says "I'm right. Period." and she doesn't think fast enough to stop herself. She is trying quite hard not to do that sort of thing.

She has strengths and weaknesses, like us all. She tries to always be her best. She knows she can’t change herself instantly, so is happy with herself, and works on flaws steadily.

History:

Ayaria and Kairi were born to parents who were the same in some aspects, and completely different in others. Their mother was calm, and a very good person. She was always the one to cheer others up, and to be calm and understanding. She was the more responsible of the two. Their father was another story. He was sarcastic, dangerous and mischievous. Their father was also a thief, and a very good one at that. Although Raven knew that Kain was a thief, she still agreed to be his mate. Kain was a thief, but a kind, good wolf. Raven and Kain lived happily, and she gave birth to non-identical twins, Kairi and Ayaria. Their father naming Kairi, while Ayaria was bestowed her name by their mother.

When Ayaria and Kairi were barely over a year, enemies came looking for Kain. Kain was home alone with Ayaria, and Raven had taken Kairi to hunt. Kain knew his only option was to leave his beloved Raven, and his beautiful daughter, Kairi, and take Ayaria. It was the only way. With tears in his usually strong eyes, he picked Ayaria up gently, and moved swiftly out the back exit of the den, avoiding the wolves and escaping.

Raven was devastated. She loved Kain with all she had, and he was gone, along with her precious other daughter, Ayaria. Raven knew in her heart, though, that Kain would return. She knew he must’ve had a good reason for leaving with no goodbyes.

Now that the parents were separated, each daughter was raised differently. Kairi was raised to be kind, but still know how to have fun, and although her mother was usually calm, Kairi strayed from that a bit, and had some very energetic tendencies. Kairi was taught to look ahead some of the time, and think about her future. She was taught to care for others rather than herself.

With Ayaria, the story was not quite the same. Ayaria…was raised a thief. Kain could not provide for her on his own, and so, he needed his little angel to help him along. Ayaria was raised to look only at today, tomorrow would take care of itself. She was taught to care for others, but not to completely forget herself in the process. She was taught to be kind, and to never take from someone who truly needs it. Her father was like a Robin Hood, steal from the rich, but instead of give to the poor, it was give to yourself. Ayaria was taught to seek out adventure, and never let there be a dull moment, a relaxed moment was fine, but never dull.

When each girl was the age 2, Kain decided to re-unite with his family. He had hopes that Raven had waited for him, and she had. The two sisters were re-united and the bonded instantly. Raven shook the thief out of Ayaria, but not the need for adrenaline. Ayaria wouldn’t think of stealing now, but she wouldn’t think of being bored either.

For the next year, the family lived happily, until their father reached the end of his years, their mother passing shortly after. The two were still friends but took separate paths. Kairi has no knowledge of Ayaria’s whereabouts, but she is currently in search of a home. She’s never been good at being alone.
