Title: I'm Just Singing In The Rain!
Description: [AW]

Huyana - April 29, 2008 01:43 PM (GMT)
Huyana lifts her paw from the ground and pulls out a thorn that had gotten stuck in it from her walk through the brush. Her gold ears prick forward catch the sound of the wind playing with the leaves. Her mix match eyes watch as the leaves are picked up and set down again. It was like a little game that only the wind and the leaves would understand, something that was just between the two. One leaf that did not seem to want to touch the ground in the same spot was pushed away, right over the multi hued she-wolf. With a quick movement she lifted herself onto her hind legs and batted the leaf from the winds game and smiled as the leaf laid still under her paw. She picked it up softly between her lips and moved away from the pile it had come from. She carried it for quite awhile until her eyes spotted a large tree that had fallen across the ground. She dropped the leaf and leaped on top of the tree. She spun around her eyes and ears set on the leaf. She sat down on the tree trunk and waited. THERE! She leaped off the tree and folded her paws over a mouse that had been causing a large amount of noise. She could feel the mouse’s heart pounding through her paws and she removed her paws from it and watched as it fled. She spun around and jumped back up onto the tree, she laid down so that her head was hanging over one side of the tree and her tail on the other side. Her short bushy two toned tail flicked gently back and forth as her eyes gleamed with a smile that could be seen as the outline of her lips curled up. Her pink tongue slipped out of her mouth as she looked upon her leaf again, watching it. Her red and crystal eyes catch sight of a herb she had been told about. Huckleberry, at that same moment the pain her foot returned full force. She softly jumped off the tree and made her way to the shrub of berries and started chewing a few before spitting it on her paw. She used her other gold dusted paw to rub it in and then her black nose to push it between the pads. The pain eased and she turned to watch her leaf.

It was a bit of time before the wind found its play mate. It lifted it from the ground and twisted it around. Huyana leaped up and pounced on the leaf. She growled softly as the wind pushed past her quickly. She again picked the leaf up in her lips and jumped up and then off the tree again moving along. The first fat rain drop to hit her caused her to glance up at the clear sky, her eyes shadowed over with confusion. Rain comes from big dark clouds which are not above her now. She set her leaf down and studied the sky closer she could see the dark clouds that were rolling her way. She let out a loud yap of joy. She has always loved the rain and her mother had named her after such, well that and the pattern on her body. Huyana means falling rain. She watched for a moment before the wind ruffled her fur and stirred up the leaves around her. Her leaf! She looked for it and saw that it had again taken flight, she bounded after it. The wind just kept pulling it further and further out of her reach. She stopped after a few moments of chasing it her eyes watched it as it was carried away from her. Fat rain drops fell faster now and her lips curls up again and her eyes shone. The water started to collect on her fur and weighing it down but her steps are still light as she moves forward. Her eyes scanning the area for her leaf and other wolves. She heard some chattering above her and glanced up to see her side kick, Chigga. He had never been a fan of the rain but would hardly complain, at least not anymore. She smiled at him as his red body spun down the tree and jumped on her back. The two of them would find somewhere safe to live.

Standing in the woods with the rain making furrows through her fur was a large grey wolf. Her coat was dark, dark as a noonday shadow, darker now as it steadily grew wetter. Her head was raised, her eyes blinking away the water, her gaze set on the small shape of a playing wolf she could just see through the trunks of trees. She watched the other leaping around, her mouth halfway open in a crooked grin that displayed far too many teeth, her tongue hanging out and dangling for a few moments in the rain like a flap of black fabric. With a flick she pulled it back in, then licked a drip from her nose. She felt her companion come up beside her and murmered some soft unecessary greeting to him. He stood in her shadow, a slender little shape compared to the wolf he guided. They were downwind, out of scent of the multicoloured stranger, but they would change that.

The pair began to trot through the trees, the dog a little ahead as he weaved through branches and trunks. Behind him Archipluvian trotted briskly. Hanging in front of both of her hind legs was an extra leg ... small, limp, just dangling there swinging with her stride or bouncing up a little. A six legged wolf ... seven legged, in fact, but many missed the third little foreleg - lost as it was in the fur behind her shoulder. Her tail was high, her stride was bouncy. She didn't seem impeded. She leapt a fallen tree and stopped with metres still between her and Huyana. The grey dog walked around in a circle, waving his tail long and low, and came up to halt behind her. He lowered his leg to lick one of his white stockinged forefeet.

Archipluvian grinned a narrow grin, keeping her extra teeth out of sight. Well, bar the ones that sprouted on her muzzle. They were harder to disguise. There was even one lone canine sticking out from between her quiet grey eyes.

"Having fun, stranger?"

Make sure you're consistently posting in 3rd person, past tense.

As in:

Katy walked through the woods. The wind was cold and blew strongly at her fur, but she didn't mind. She sniffed at the ground and then decided to move on...

Huyana - April 30, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
Did I change tense?

KATY: At the beginning there is a little bit of present tense...ex: she LIFTS (lifted) her paw and PULLS (pulled) out a thorn..." It's just a reminder, nothing more.

OOC: Yeah you did actually, later on as well. For example (past tense in green, present tense in red):

Fat rain drops fell faster now and her lips curls up again and her eyes shone. The water started to collect on her fur and weighing it down but her steps are still light as she moves forward.

Something to watch ^_^ Just make sure you preview your posts to be sure your tenses are straight before you post. But anyway, let's keep playing! Your character is so cute <3

Ok, I'll watch it, do you want me to fix my above post?

KATY: No, don't worry about it, just keep an eye out for it from now on. Happy roleplaying!

With Chigga riding along on her back she thought she was alone. She would often feel as though she was alone only to find out she was not. For the moment it was just the two of the and the rain...

Haha mom needs me... I'll get it done.
