"I'm so bored, Silver!" the small white, blue, yellow, and purple wolf complained, flapping the stuby limbs that would eventually grow to be wings in an irritated manner."There's nothiing here to do!" she complained loudly, jumping up and down on her paws. Bordom was a very real problem for wolf pups. It often led to carelessness, taking stupid risks because they sounded exciting, and injury. Airia had seen before how even a grown-up wolf could become hurt due to the carelessness that was spawned of bordom. The eviscerated carcass of another pup she came across once while hunting came to mind.. The other littl eone had been chasing a butterfly and fallen right into a small, but very steep, gorge, because it wasn't paying attention. It had been such a gruesome sight...
</br></br>
Well, I'm sorry, Child! I don't know what you want me to tell you... Go find something to play with! the magpie said, sounding very grouchy, though there was love in the tone. The pup was very dear to the bird, and ever since the poor thing's parents died, Silver had been takin care of her. Not literally, of course. She was only a bird. Luckily for her, and for Airia, the little fea had already learned to hunt small game, such as rabbits, rats, and mice, when her parents passed. She could fully understand the child's consternation, as she rarely came into contact with other wolves...

SAL! To the RESCUE!

Salvatore would have uttered the very same annoyed tones of boredom if Tachella had not been asleep. He was incredibly bored himself, which was odd for him. Not that grown up were exempt from feeling bored, in fact that was a massive lie. He got bored, no matter his peaceful, one with the earth nature. He was also very active and loved games all the time. But who could play with him? Tachella was far to large and he was no good at hide and seek with her. Being the largest wolf he knew, it was not easy for him to hide, especially with his purple fur, but for Tachella? She was green, the size of his paw and silent. How fair was that? He harrumphed ot himself and continued to lay motionless in the middle of his favorite wood. The Carmier woods were beautiful and quiet today. And as tachella lay atop his head he grew more and more bored. Why couldn’t he just fall asleep like her and then wander around aimlessly? Truth was, no matter how good a friend Chella was, the older, large peaceful brute needed some more friends. Sighing deeply, the sociable Italian shook his head gently to rouse the bird. Smiling lightly as he felt her stir tiredly he whispered ‘Chella, my bell. I am hungry, so here, go get in that tree and sleep…k? it was a lie, for he really just wanted to walk and perhaps find companionship. Tachella groggily nodded and muttered something about her own hunger before fluttering dangerously too the nearest bush, disappearing into its foliage.

Satisfied now, the massive white brute with the layer of horns down his back stood and sighed. Off he went at a fast pace over logs and through the warm summer air. He breathed happily in as the scents of different wolves blustered around him, he was so amazed. Who could he meet today/ what was in store? In fact he was so enthralled thinking about what to do, he did not pay attention to where he was going or how fast he was going. By the time he spotted the little princess of many colors, he was nearly on top of her. Letting out a gasp he realized if he didn’t do something, he would run over the child! And oh, would he be eternally cross with himself! Thinking fast the massive brute who was much larger than the princess leapt upward and over at an odd angle, using her as a hurtle so as to not crush her. Once on the other side, he skidded to a halt and glanced back at her, his bright purple eyes and horned head filled with fear and surprise.

DIO! Oh, Piccola Principessa! Are you alright little one? he said in alarm, bending his neck ot peer at the bored princess., oh wasn’t she cute?

"EEEK!... Hmm? Hehe... Yes, I'm alright" the medium-sized pup replied as she turned to face him. That was when she spotted Silver. She was about to dive-bomb him! "Cut it out! Silver, stop it!" she barked as she ran over and jumped to nip at her guardian to make her veer off.
</br></br>
Ah! I cannot believe you, child! the magpie squalked angrily as she fluttered around the pup's head. "Oh, stuff it!" th epup said as she abatted a paw at the magpie, grinning. She knew that her nanny would settle down soon enough. Once the bird was no longer circling and sat fuming on a stone ten feet away, she turned to the white and purple male once more and smiled. "I'm Airia! You can call me Airi if you'd like. What's your name?" she asked as a tiny pair of wings unfolded on her back, little more at this point in her life than downy knobs sticking out of her shoulders. The feathers were white, each tipped with light blue. Her tail wagged as she looked at him. He was as odd as she herself! How neat!

Salvatore liked children. He didn’t have any of his own, no she hadn’t wanted any. Why whenever he saw a youngling did he think of her? She had broken his heart long ago, and that was final. He still smiled down at the little colorful thing with the miniature wings, and stepped forward just to make sure he hadn’t hurt a hair on her pretty little body. But then he too noticed the magpie. For some reason fear filled his large purple eyes and he flinched backward. Why? Who knew? He was massive compared to the puppy and the bird, and so he needn’t fear anything. Still, the little one bid the bird go away and leave him alone. Caustiously, Salvatore raised his head again and looked straight at the magpie. ‘Mademoiselle, I am very sorry….’ he said to both bird and wolf. But now the child looked happy, throwing him a happy glance and wagging her tail and fluttering her wings.
<BR><BR>
His mother had sprouted wings. Giant butterfly wings that were useless but brightly colored like trees with hints of purple in them. She hadn’t changed colors at all, just sprouted wings. Smiling down at his little princess, Salvatore bowed his body and head low in respect and welcome to her. ‘Principessa Airi! What a beautiful name, my dear. And your fried? What is her name?’ he asked, raising his head out of his bow. He still hunched over there, looking slouchy and ridiculous, but he wanted to be on the same level with her. She seemed kind enough though, and hey! Maybe they could go explore, or play a game? If the magpie allowed it. I am Salvatore Valentino, but you can just call me Sal. I know, my names really long! Those are some very pretty wings you’ve got growing there. he said, noddng to her back

When he called her Princess, Airia grinned and buried her face in her forepaws for a moment before looking up at him once more, beaming. "Thank you! Your name is pretty, too!" she said, tail wagging hard as she stood up and looked to where her gaurdian had flitted off to. "Her name is Silver. I don't know why, because she's not, but, that's what it is!" she explained as she glanced back at the black and white bird.
</br></br>
It's the name I picked for myself! the magpie chirped sullenly in the pup's direction. "Oh, right!" she said as the bird refreshed her memory. She buried her face agian when he introduced himself and complimented her on her wings. "Thank you, Sal! They're not nearly grown yet, though... They won't be ready until I'm around.... What was it Mother said, Silver?" the child questioned the magpie with a confused look on her face. She had an awful memory, except when it came to names.
</br></br>
One and a half. the bird replied with a sigh as she fluttered back over and perched atop the pup's shoulder. "That's it! Thank you, Silver!" the pup sad in a sing-song voice as she tried to turn her head to smile at the bird. She hoped that Sal knew that Silver wasn't really as severe as she behaved...
