Main Street
The source of hustle and bustle, Main Street, Arendia is also a haven for numerous types of people. Shoppers can find a large variety of shopping centers and boutiques opening right onto the sidewalk, that offer a number of products to the public. Restaurants and quaint cafés are also in abundance, with cuisine ranging from the typical to the exotic. But, as with all things, there is another side of the coin; slums and backstreets can be exceedingly dangerous to uninitiated. Driving along this section of town tends to be met with a decent (but not excessive) amount of busy roads.

Columbian Mall
After long debate between consumer and producer, a mall has been birthed for the city of Arendia. Freshly built, it is a large, one story mall packed with hundreds of retail stores and market brands that fit every person’s wants and needs. Additional sections are being continually added to properly handle the rising attendance as of late, including many eateries that range from national superstars to original mom and pop diners. Lavished with color and life, much of the population drifts here if they have a desire to make new friends, pick up a few last-minute gifts, or generally “get out of the house”.

School System
Spacing twenty miles or so between each other in the Northern half of the city are Arendia’s schools, Arendia Elementary, Middle, High, and Andrew-Turner University. Pampered with safe neighborhoods and expansive lots to associate in, this more populated area has become a hangout of choice for younger children and teens. The University on the other hand is conveniently placed on the border that separates Arendia and the following city, and is thus run by a more diverse group of young adults and aging graduates. Constantly the scene of culture clubs and other community groups, the school system is blessed with the many talents of those who garden, recycle, and paint, making the space between each facility a true pleasure to stroll along.

The Coast
Always a destination of choice for both tourists and locals, the shoreline is a magnet for stores and outlets that offer a wide variety of products not normally seen closer to the city. Active twice a year, the Carnival Pier is responsible for drawing large numbers of newcomers in for the week or two that it is held. Host of beach parties, cookouts, and volleyball tournaments alike, several people can find and associate with others that hold their same interests. Also, the shoreline serves as a harbor for Arendia, so those who are patient and wise in the ways of shipment can get their hands on normally expensive items at a great price as long as they get to trading before the cargo lands in the hands of big-time corporations.

Ocean Boulevard
An extending piece of the shoreline, also known as the Strip, the boulevard offers a more stable haven to the attractions that locals visit even in the dead of winter. Holstering a variety of activities and purchases such as hobby shops, putt-putt courses, and hot dog stands, the boulevard is normally active at all hours of the day to suit both day and night shift occupants. In addition to their mainstream establishments, the boulevard also offers a modernized amusement park that remains open from April to October, contributing to half of the area’s income. Beyond those months it becomes a gathering place for the city’s “outsiders”, who prefer the lonely solitude of the park to the bustling activity of arcades and recess sports.

Barefoot Landing
A cousin site to Arendia’s mall, Barefoot Landing has evolved from a small nature park to a vast expanse of specialty boutiques and animal rehabilitation facilities. Divided into four sections, each quadrant is specifically set up in order to accommodate restaurants and cafés that belong entirely to the Arendia city. Hosting numerous tours in the day, Barefoot Landing is also centralized with a massive pond that serves home to both exotic fish and occasional alligator here and there.

Residential Homes
Necessary to the survival of the public, the Residential Homes of Arendia range from the homely to the massive, sprawling over miles and miles of city territory that cross into both safe and unsafe areas. The unsafe, affectionately named “the ghetto”, is more populated by small trailers and older homes while the safe is crowded with iron gates and private pools. Practical budgets allow room for expansion and it seems as though everyone begins building additions at once, but sometimes abandoned homes provide shelter for those less fortunate.

Other Areas
Places that can’t be placed in Arendia’s malls and shopping outlets eventually wind up in the side streets of the city. It’s leading building is the hospital, which has provided care to the Arendia population for a large number of years and has gained funding for various medical projects and cure research. Veterinary services, auto shops, fitness gyms, and playgrounds all dot the outer regions of the land to provide services that extend beyond the normal shopper. Because of it’s sparse groupings, the Other Areas is merely a referral to all public facilities and stations that do not fit the quota of average consumer purchases and has no precise location besides the vague “somewhere over there."
