FALLEN IDOLS

Hey everyone...so I must admit I am a huge fan of the show Celebrity Rehab. Unfortunately I had to witness two past idol contestants on the tv show, Jessica Sierra, and Nikki McKibben. What are your opinions about these two? Both have struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years, even during their Idol run. Their stories have left me heartbroken but also have left me with mixed emotions too.
On one hand I believe that people will look at these two young artists and immediately look negatively at other idols, thinking that they are "all the same". Jessica Sierra has admitted that she was under the influence during most of her run on Idol. This, for example may turn off many people and make them look at other idols in a negative light. Also, I have read different blogs about this topic stating what if she or Nikki had won in their season, can either of these of girls really be considered an "American Idol".

On the other hand I feel very badly for the trials and tribulations they both have gone through in their lives...and it hasn't been just these two girls, there have been other idols who's life stories have gotten blasted by the media. They are human just like everyone else. They suffer just like we all do. They make mistakes like we all do. My heart does go out to them.

This has always been a hot topic for me to discuss but I want to know your opinions on this matter....

OMG. I had to reply to this post! I love Jessica Sierra and Celebrity Rehab. I was so addicted to the first season!

Jessica has had so many problems in her career and personal life. But she has finally gotten it together and I hope it will stay that way. I am glad the judge decided to order her into a years worth of rehab! That is drastic, but it was much needed for her own well being. DR. Drew posted on his twitter account that Jessica has now been sober for a full year and is a changed and new women. I am anxious to see how her now! I have always rooted for her!

Have you checked out her EP? All six songs are really good! One of the songs "Unbroken" she performed on the first season of Celeb Rehab!

I hope Jessica comes out with new music! I'm so happy she's made it through the rain and is sober! That's show so much strength in her and I'm very proud of her!
