Hey gang,
I just want to remind everyone to email me if you are having a problem with something going on with the site or forums. It seems like every time an issue comes up, it is brought to me by a 3rd party and long after it has become a big issue. As much as I want to spend as much time as I can here, life is very busy for me right now and I can't be on the forums or in the chat as much as I'd like. If something is discussed in either of those places, I don't necessarily know about it.
With such a diverse (and wonderful!) group of people that we have, there are always bound to be disagreements. I have seen groups torn apart by problems and I don't want that to happen here.
So please come to me with issues. I won't bite and it's easier for me to know what's going on if you tell me. When it comes to me from a 3rd party it's so much harder for me to address. I'm never going to please everyone, but I will always do my best to be as fair as I can. I'm not perfect so if I make a mistake, I want to try to fix it. I can't promise I will always do what you want me to, but I don't know what's going on if you don't talk to me. If you're mad, that's fine, but tell me!

Nathan, Pinky and Jennie have volunteered to moderate the forum in Shelly's absence. If you have an issue, you can also go to one of them and they will discuss it with me.
One last reminder. We have a LOT of minors on this site. Please remember that as mature as they all are, they are still under 18. All discussions need to remain appropriate. Excessive profanity and sexual innuendos are not acceptable in the forum or the chat room. Carly and her family care very much for the safety and well being of her young fans - let's make sure that we respect that. We are going to set up an "adults only" section of the forum soon where our 18+ members can let loose. Everywhere else, we want to keep it clean.
To everyone under 18 - I know a lot of you are very mature and "wordly" It's starting to feel like forever ago, but I was a teenager once. I know that you swear, that you talk about sex (and some of you have it!). I'm not trying to treat you like children, because you are not. But we have a legal and ethical responsibility to look out for you and I take that seriously. Please consider me someone you can trust. If you do not feel safe, or something makes you uncomfortable - please come to me and I will try to help you. It will stay confidential, but if I am afraid you are in danger, I will do everything I can to make sure you are safe.
As amazing as the internet is, it can be dangerous. People online may not be who they say they are, and they can be very convincing. I myself have been fooled by people online pretending to be what they are not. I hope we never have that here, but remember to be cautious.
