Carly's Angels "Summer Come-Together"
Hey Angels,

As many of you already know we are trying to have a Carly's Angels Get-together this summer. If you have already PM'd me with your location then you are all set!
If any of you that are interested haven't PM'd me yet stating where you live and how far you are willing to travel, please PM me with that information as soon as possible. The sooner we receive everyone's locations, the sooner we can then decide on a suitable destination.

I will try my best to come. My mom says that I probably wont get to come if we have to travel more than 8 hours. So I hope it is somewhere close to TN lol..Hope to meet all of you guys this summer!! Very excited! :w00t: :grouphug:

shelly that'd be real fun to meet in a big city but there are a lot of young ones (including myself) that couldnt afford to go to chicago or cali (as much as id want too)

Ashley,there some of us older ones that agree with you on this,and some dates would be great for I have another trip I trying to plan this year.This would help so I don't plan them both to close together.

yes, i think for most of us, money is an issue. if i could, i would be there in a second no matter how far away. butttt there'e the money. :( so that makes it pretty hard for us to compromise on a location. so ahhh idk lol.

Yes!! I'm going to California already this summer, it might just work out for me!

Check your PMs! Last 2 weeks in August and 1st week of September, and where I'm going isn't finalised, so my schedule is flexible.

Will Carly be there? If she is I will try to go.

First off I am 17 so I need to meet someone there and I don't know any of you in person which will make my mom more likely to say no. If we are sure Carly will be there maybe my mom will come with me and what not. I live in Philly so I don't know how it will work out. I always dreamed of meeting Carly so I hope it works out. I am not sure if it is possible. Plus it also depends on the date if not then If by any chance she does show up and I can't go. Can one of you guys can me and have her talk to me on my cell phone? Talking to her is just as good as meeting her.

yeah i live in philly too. and our money is tight right now. i am already saving up money to go to wyoming and washington this summer. hey they both start with W!!!! hehehe! anyway yeah i can tell you alraedy this is not gonna work out lol. unless its when i'm in wyo and wa but i highly doubt it.... lol.

Ok been thinking about this and I think California sounds awesome,but and theres always a but.I really think if we decide right off the bat that we are going to California, we will lose alot of angels that were planning on coming.And this is suppose to be a get together for everyone to meet each other.
My two cents on this is to make it fair to everyone that we stick to the original plan and see the final number of who's going and location then go from there.I have been figuring since we have angels on all sides of the states it would end some where in the middle.This would be good as some can save on air fare and theres the possibilty of carpooling as well.
I also think that some round about date will also help people make the final decision on this trip as many have other trips planned this year.I too have a very special trip planned and need to make sure im not planning the two to close together.

I agree, it's only fair to do it that way.

My special trip includes the States, and I will try my hardest to make it to whatever location is decided if the time suits. But it's only fair to go with what suits the majority in the end.

I asked my mom if we can go to Disneyland and Seaworld this summer and she said yes. So if the get together is still in Cali I can go! :)

I can already tell you that if it is in Cali, I can't go cuz that is WAY more than 8 hours lol..more like 22 or something..My mom would definately say no cuz of money and having to travel so far.

Like Nancy said, I think if we go with the original plan, we would probably end up somewhere in the middle U.S, which may work. If it is just a couple hours more than 8, my mom may say yes cuz she knows how bad i want to meet all of you, but I am pretty sure that she would say no to Cali, even though I would LOVE to come there lol.

Ok, so like the 17th or 18th? Cuz I'm sure most people will be back to school by the last week of August and first week of September.

I don't have a particular state picked out,but was planning only on everyone going halfway.Just pick your place if I can make it i will if not theres always next year.The other trip im making is very important to me and im not going to take anything away from it and compromise my plans with my daughter to make this one.It's really no big deal,so whatever you guys decide is fine with me.If i can make it i will. :hug:

Well definitely San Diego!!! And my family and I are going to Sea World. (for the Cali trip!)

i would do the 13-16 cause its before school starts, especially if people are going to travel, you dont want them missing their 1st day of school!

LA is fine! And it would have to be the 13th-16th cuz I'm back to school on the 25th.

well those days could be a problem for me cuz I go back to school within the first week or two of August..for me to be able to come, it would have to be in June or July..

I think that it would be best to have 2 separate ones, an east coast and a west coast one. But the one in Cali is gonna be way better :( obviously lol. East coast sucks. We'll meet there and be like alright lets go.... roll in a meadow!

We should have a meeting on both sides of the country. One in CA & one in NY.

Okay, I am pulling California as an option for the get together off the table. I was told that there was a lot of negativity toward this idea and ME at the chat tonight. You guys can just decide where to have it on the East Coast... good luck.

Shelly let's not blow this out of proportion.Yes there are some of us upset that California is out of the question for, and we are disappointed that is not going to be a trip that is located so everyone can go.I don't remember there being any negativity towards you other than you not changing your mind on this location.
Like I said plan your trip if I can come then I will,if not there is always next year.
I don't know what happened last night for I was msn with two other people,but i do know the other night it was disappointment.

I'm headed to uni next year and don't start until October, that's why I'm holidaying so late.

Have it earlier if it suits everyone else, if I can't come it's no big deal.

It is a big deal with people talk negatively about other Carly fans behind their back IN THE CHAT. And I'm not just talking about last night, it happens ALL THE TIME.

These get togethers are never going to be somewhere were "everyone" can go. Hence why I suggested having two. But that wasn't good enough. Frankly, for me, the point of this whole get together has been ruined. I had been trying to plan some special things for the Angels and when people got upset, I compromised and said we could have two get togethers so everyone could participate. That didn't make people happy either... so I've turned this over to Cheryl and Pinky to figure out. Again, good luck and I hope you guys have fun.

Okay guys, I want to clear a few things up here. Pinky started this thread to help us figure out how we were going to move forward with the Summer Get Together(s). The plan was to survey where people could/would travel to and what everyone's thoughts were and decide where to meet and how many gatherings we should have.

Shelly posted her thoughts on the gathering and it seems like everyone assumed that it was the final decision. Everyone freaked out a little bit and here we are. Gathering in LA has always been a location we have considered and discussed. I think some people thought that we just decided to switch everything to Cali recently, regardless of what everyone's feedback was. That is not true. In fact, LA was the first place we talked about and as a result of everyone's feedback we realized we may need to adjust. I am going to close this thread and start a new one to discuss the gatherings. No matter what we decide to do, there are going to be some people that are not going to be able to come. We will do our best to accommodate as many people as we can, but we can't please everyone.

Just a reminder, if you are unsure of something, please contact Shelly, Melanie or I to confirm. Rumors can start easily and unintentionally and it's a good way for people to get upset. We keep up with the chat logs as best as we can, but we are mostly screening for safety issues, so if something is discussed in the chat, we may not know about it. If there is a question or problem, please make sure you bring it to our attention.

Once we have a decision, it will be clear what it is because we will post it on the main site and announce it in the forum.
