This is the place to brainstorm Street Team ideas. Feel free to post your ideas and let us know how you think we could help promote Carly and her music. We have a lot of ideas that we are working to put into place but new ideas are always needed.

What do you think would work well in your city, your school, your workplace?

so i dont know if this is at all possible, but id be cool if it is.

one of my professors my freshman year was a minister and he would always give us itune (or other music sources) gift cards that would be good for like 1 to 2 free song(s), but they'd always be songs that HE picked so we could only get that particular song. basicly he had bought the song multiple times and put them on gift cards (not sure how he did that)...but anyway it promoted these particular artists and songs that he felt would be worth our while- and it definitely recruited fans. at my campus, students LOOOVE that kind of stuff. if we could do this in any form when carly's single comes out, or marly's duet comes out, i think it would definitely help recruit new fans and thus when their albums came out, higher sales. sooo maybe this could be something we research?

also my school is a big music school and advertisment school- i can post any type of flyer anywhere and we can do free ads one sidewalk in chalk on campus (its a really common thing to do)

another thing- since my mom owns a store, she can choose the type of music that is played. we play carly and other idols a lot! im going to talk to my mom about putting up a small sign with something like "Like what u hear? check out idol Carly smithson" or whatever

^^ woah those are some great ideas! your school sounds really awesome lol. you would be able to get a lot of carly fans there! and in ur mom's store-- thats really cool she can play the music. :) the sign would def. be good

99% of the people that get online have emails. And most if not all emails have Options to where you can spice up your the outlook of your email when sent. So if you can why not add a banner to Carly's official page or just add a link to her site and to carlys angels and to the forum?

It's possible it can grab others attention.

oh i love my school! ALL CARLY FANS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO COME PARTY!!! JUST GIMME A CALL! woot woot! yeah a lot of bands play at our school too, there was a concert on our south lawn with nappy roots the other day, and one republic has been there, and i think the fray...i can't remember who all.
yeah my mom owning the store is a big help. we were playing idol studio recordings back in like march/aprilish and 'come together' came on and customers we're singing it and kept asking "who is this? i really like this version of this song! it's better than the original!" me and my mom were like "hells yes!"

Bumper Stickers...that's a great way to promote Carly...any suggestions on what the bumper stickers should look like or say?

We are currently discussing the possibility of CA and Street Team merchandise, including bumper stickers. Of course, you are free to make your own... I just wanted to let everyone know that we ARE working hard on many different things. :yes:
