Darn it, now I'm really bummed that I'll miss the chat after hearing that Marie will be there. I saw her post on MySpace, so she'll definitely be joining in. I might be able to catch the very beginning but I have somewhere to be shortly after 6 pm. How long did the last chat last (just curious)?
I do have a question though-I read the chat rules and I know we're not supposed to ask Marie to give messages to Carly, but is it okay to just tell her how much we appreciated something that Carly did (like giving us AP passes)?

I don't know who is going to come to the chat (i.e. people that don't normally post here) and I don't want a bunch of people to start asking Marie for favors based on this kind of conversation. I know it's common knowledge around here what Marie has done for us but since she is advertising the chat on Carly's myspace... well, you get the point.
I think thanking her in general for everything she has done is fine, though...

I think the chat with everyone in it lasted nearly 3 hours, although Jen, Tali and I were there about 45 minutes beforehand. I don't know how long it went on after I went to bed :haha:
And I understand what you're saying Shelly, we just all generally thanked her last time :)

I was there too and it was so great to hear some news on what Carly has been up to from Marie. I also can't wait for the duets with Michael. Marie is so wonderful for chatting with us-loved it!!!

After tonights chat I kind of feel bad for Marie. There were too many favors being asked of her. There were a few very persistent people who would not, in my opinion stop "harassing her".

there was just a lot of stuff being asked and demaded of her that was totally unfair in my opinion. although the way she handled the questions made me respect her even more [i didnt know that was possible.] such a classy woman.

I don't think the people harassing her were any of us regular members here though-I think those people just joined the chat cuz they saw it on her MySpace. I thought the person repeatedly asking her to say hi to Archie was pretty silly, but Marie handled it well. Sounds like we need to do something different for next time so Marie doesn't feel uncomfortable and decide to stop joining us. What do you guys think??

The main one I noticed was the girl who kept asking Marie to tell Archie hi for her. Someone did tell the girl that Marie is in Ireland and Archie is in the USA, so they'd take the hint to stop asking. I didn't notice anyone else harassing her too much, but maybe that was after I left.

I just think it's tough when we have people coming to the chats that aren't regular posters here... I know that all my wonderful Carly fans from HERE know better. :yes:
I think it's also hard to regulate things when the chat screen moves so fast... I think it's going to continue to be trial-and-error...

I really felt uncomfertable for Marie at some parts, didn't really know what to do. I'm sure Jennie and I are learning with experience though :haha: we'll manage it better each time :)
like you said, Shelly, it's tough when fans that are not regulars here are coming to the chat without knowing the rules.

For the most part, I think everyone was very good. In my opinion there were only 2 problems, one Jennie and handle and one I did. I don't think they will be repeated. Jennie, Tali, Shelly - I have some thoughts and I'll email you all about them before next friday.

I like the idea of having a members only chat sometime. Not sure how exactly we can accomplish this but I'll talk with Mel and Cheryl about it. I think that if it's just not advertised on myspace, it would end up being mainly Carly's Angels...
BTW, check out the new thread in this forum about questions for Marie/Carly. We are going to try and regulate the chat a little and keep it from getting too out of control.
