Hey guys,

I am thinking about buying Ultimate High on Amazon.com so I can see what it sounds like and mainly just to support Carly. I have heard that she sounds much different on it than she does now. What do you guys think of the cd and what are your favorite songs? Just curious.

Amy - To be honest, it doesn't sound anything like the Carly we know now. The album is much more "pop" than the songs she sings now. I mean, it's a good CD and her voice sounds really good, especially for an 18 year old. But don't buy it expecting to hear the stuff we've heard Carly sing for the past 7 months. I think that "What I've Found" sounds the most like Carly now... but that's just my opinion. It's also my favorite song on the album. :) The more I listen to the album, the more I can hear Carly in it but when I first heard it, I honestly couldn't believe it was her. If you go into the UH thread, you can read about everyone's favorite songs... and I think I might have posted Carly's favorite songs. Regardless, I know she likes Surface Wound and No One's Safe From Goodbye. :)

Thanks Shelly. I knew it sounded much different than her voice now, but I want to buy it just to support her. I have heard a few songs on You Tube and I like some of them-I think Jay even said some sound almost country.

Even though it doesn't sound a thing like Carly, it is still a phenomenal CD. As a Carly fan, I strongly recommend it. Like Shelly said, it is very pop and if you listen to a song on Ultimate High and then you listen to a song she's done recently, it's actually a very funny comparison. Regardless, I really think you should get it so you know how much Carly has improved in her singing. My favorites songs are definately "What I've Found" (Good choice Shelly!), "Surface Wound" and "Just Missed The Train." Most of the songs are pretty good though. I think you'll like it!

Thanks for the advice Karey. I am definitely going to look for it on Amazon and get it if they have it available. I don't have an IPod or MP3, so I need to get the cd.

honestly (and i'm NOT just being biased here lol) if i her album was just some random new album now and it was promoted i'd check it out and probably would have bought a lot of the songs on the album. they are very catchy and fun songs. and even the slower ones are just so beautiful. of course her voice has progressed a lot since then and now has a more mature sound. and while i like her voice better now, she still had a great voice back then except with more of a pop flavor. i absolutely love all the songs on her old album. its definately worth the purchase. plus, they've stopped making the album obviously so now its like a collectors item lol.

Well guys, I went ahead and ordered UH on Amazon the other day and it's on the way. I did download "What I've Found" from the Media section on here and I really like that song. It is so wierd how different her voice sounded then from how it is now, but she still sounded great for being so young. It does remind me of a Britney Spears pop sound, but Carly's voice is much better than Britney's and it is a really well written song. I've had it stuck in my head all weekend. I think I am going to like the rest of the cd when it comes-we'll see.

I have only heard "What I've Found" so far and I can't get it out of my head. I'm supposed to get the cd from Amazon on Tuesday so I'll let you guys know if I like the rest of it (I'm sure I will).

a lot of the songs are just so... fun!!! i was at this camp at the beach this summer and someone brought an ipod dock and we'd put my ipod in every day when we got back from the beach and i'd blast carly hennessy. i had her songs in my head all week and like we'd be in the pool and i'd be like "how old are you?" and everyone would be like "SIXTEEEEEEEN!" oh man goooooooood times! i was so proud of myself i got everyone singing carly hennessy. and they all loved her!

I also reccomend Ultimate High.If you love Carly you will love this.What I`ve Found is my favorite along with beautiful you.It justs shows that she has had amazing voice for along time.My daughter and I listen to it all the time.In fact I have 3 copies and the singles so I could hear No One Comes Around.

omg i just found out about no one comes around like a month ago. haha i downloaded it from the media section on this site :D and i totally LOVE that song!!
