Here's the Carly parts of the Fort Wayne newspaper (News-Sentinel.com) review of last night's show (I included the first part about the couple cuz I thought it was cute that an old lady loves Carly) :

QUOTE
The crowd contained people of all ages who came to cheer for their favorite “Idol” finalist.
“We just can't believe it,” said Janice Nofzinger, who, with her husband, Burdell, was celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary. “We just watched it (the show) all the time.”
Janice Nofzinger's favorites are David Cook, Carly Smithson and Michael Johns, while Burdell Nofzinger's favorites are David Cook and Brooke White, and they clapped and stood up during those performers' time on the stage.

Carly Smithson really brought the place to life with Evanescence's “Bring Me To Life.” She finished her time on the stage with Heart's “Crazy on You” and Cyndi Lauper's “I Drove All Night.”

Time for Carrrrrrrrrrrly Smithson! Carly scared me on the show cause she always looked so damn angry and/or in pain whenever she sang. I must admit, she looked absolutely lovely, and there were no scary faces and minimal stomping. She sounded great on her opening number, Evanescece's "Bring Me to Life". Then she talked a bit, and my favorite thing about Carly has always been her Irish accent. Shocker of shocker, her second song was "Crazy On You" by Heart. Heart, y'all!!! Carly loves Heart!!! She started this one slow, kneeling on the stage, before rocking that mother out. The guys beside me were yelling "I love you Carly!!!" and "Sing 'Barracuda'!!!!". She closed with the Cyndi Lauper/Celine Dion hit "I Drove All Night" (also dedicated to the ladies in the house), and she rocked it out, giving it a more interesting spin than when she sang it on the show in the style of a Celine Dion impersonator who dreams of being in a Heart coverband. I was seriously impressed with Miss Smithson and may look into buying her music in the future. As long as she doesn't sing about blowjobs again, like she did on her first album. Ew.

Here are some reviews from fans who attended the Ft. Wayne concert:

I attended the Ft. Wayne concert and had an absolute blast. I've never had that much fun in my life. I was definately a crazy loud fan but I didn't care. Although my favorite is Brooke because she's so authentic and has such a soothing voice, I think all the idol were awesome. They have all gotten so much better since the show! I would think their voices would be exhausted by now but not in the least! Chikezie is such a cutie. He started off the show and was awesome! He's such a cool guy. Next was Ramiele working her dance moves. Shes so cute and little and she performed really well. Michael Johns then came out and he is great! He's got such a crazy personality, my type of guy. Kristy was next. I loved her and her country songs, she was awesome! Carly was next and I think blew everyone in the audience away with her first song. Everyone's mouths dropped. It was an unbelievable performance. Amazing! My Brookie Cookie was next and of course was fabulous on her piano and guitar. Such a soulful person. Jason was up next after an intermission and he too is very authentic and has a relaxing voice. He just makes you feel good! Syesha was next and was awesome. She's got the pipes and looked stunning! David Archuleta was after her. Of course everyone went nuts including me. He's got the best voice for his age and is the sweetest kid ever. I loved Apologize simply because it's my favorite song and I love One Republic! David Cook, last but not least, performed 5 songs and was awesome at each one. I loved Time of my Life and Hero, the song he dedicated to his bro which I think is so sweet.
I loved loved loved the last performance, performed by the entire group, "Please Dont Stop the Music"! They sing so great together. It was the perfect ending to the night!
