The American Idol Authentic Rocker Chick

This thread is of course for all the Amanda fans, and those interested in being updated with Amanda and her career. I’d like to thank Shelly for this idea. :]

Amanda had gotten married to Casey Taylor on August 23rd. If you’d like to see photos of her wedding and her band promo pictures you can visit http://daisyloophoto.com/html/overmyer.html, she looked beautiful and there is certainly no denying that.

The day after her wedding she had the honor of singing the national anthem at the Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium. She did a good job, if you’d like to see, a fan was nice enough to record it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUoTSITaisQ .

Then on August 29th, Amanda had a gig at the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary at which she rocked it out. She was in her element and she gave preview to songs that will be on her upcoming album. That’s all Amanda has been up to lately. She’s currently in the studio recording some songs for her album, which she hopes to release in December. She also is having her single come out sometime in September on iTunes. She had also asked her fans to request her single at a local radio station to get it out there for the public. I heard quite some time ago that she was performing at the Whiskey A Go Go. That's where Janis got her start, or so I read. Anyway, did she do that? Also I heard that she was going to be cast as Janis in a movie (maybe a remake of The Rose?). Rumors or no?

Oh yeah, forgot to include her Whiskey A Go Go gig. She rocked that, she did it back in May if I'm not mistaken. About a week after the finale of American Idol. As for the movie, I haven't heard much about other than what you had said.

For all those interested, I figured I'd let you know that Amanda has finished 6 more songs for her album. And she has 3 more left. Look for a release in December! :note:

Amanda had a homecoming show on Friday in Lafayette. She was pretty rocking. She premiered lots of her new originals/idol songs and the crowd was all for it.

I love Amanda! I hated her at first, but didn't everyone. Then she grew on me and I fell in love with her voice.

She looks GORGEOUS in her wedding pictures. I don't think I've ever seen he smile so much. Lol.

I read some news about Amanda. I'll cut 'n paste verbatim...

It is here! Just in Time for Christmas!

Ok, guys! My first album, "Solidify" is now available for purchase on my website, amandaovermyer.com. It is available for download, or hard copy CD that will be shipped to your home. It is not available on itunes yet, simply because it takes 3-4 weeks to process, and I figured s***, Im not waiting for them to release this dude! I feel all grown up now! My first album!! Buy it, guys!! Support rock and roll, (what is left of it) and help me Solidify the Presence of Rock and Roll!!

Yea I bought her album on her site on Friday! I was really pleasantly surprised that she created such original, rockin' music. I love her sound :ipod: My early faves are "Fight Like A Son" and "Play On" but the whole thing is great! It's like country meets rock meets soul meets blues. I'm so glad I got this album :)

I can't wait to get it. I am going to ask my mom if she can order me one for Christmas. Are the ones on her site autographed?

I love that "Call your mama" song..i really liked her album a lot more than i thought i would

yea, I love Call Your Mama lol. Its got a cathcy tune.. And I am in love with "Fight Like a Son" and I like the beats to "Varmint Rifle" and "Iroquois Lane". I love all of the songs lol.
